Shit was expensive no matter who ya were back in the day. We're talking $39.99 to $59.99 each Month for the WWF PPV. IN Your Houses being cheaper/package deals.
Then again, Everyone I knew (allegedly) - Their Parents had a Black Box (allegedly) & oh how glorious it was (allegedly). I still have every PPV from late 98 to like 02 on VHS My Cat's Uncle's Nephew recorded. It's no wonder Cable Companies have all their customers by the balls nowadays - My Generation's Parents ruined it for everybody. looool

@@jascha2765 That's really interesting! PPV & the stranglehold some cable companies & Providers have on certain regions & markets is a whole other thing. The only thing I recall from the PPV's being like $30-$50 minimum was you got both showings (one after the other - what a bargain) & WWF always ran some sort of promo where you'd send in your PPV Receipt. Which, many of didn't have (alleged ly). As an adult, I'd have paid any amount of money for the like 5"x5" piece of the actual ring they gave away to people for Wrestlemania XV.

He took the time to answer questions, sign everything, and even did the cactus jack pose with me. I’ll always appreciate him for that because I’ve waited hours in line to meet certain people and they didn’t even care I existed. Mick made sure you felt included and appreciated. Thank you mick

Mick and a crew of wrestlers showed up at the hotel I worked night shift at around 2009 in upstate NY. Looking at a lobby of huge dudes and not recognizing any of them the first thing I said was " Where's Undertaker?" And mick responded "...yea that's what they all say." A bit later on he came down for a chat and clued me in on who everyone was and then lit me up at the front desk just for fun and to give a small show to the people checking in. Super cool dude. Definitely haven't forgotten that night.

Wrestlers, but Mick in particular, are the modern version of old fishermen in a bar telling tales of sea monsters. The way he tells his feats is so epic, so full of background thoughts, they will take 20 minutes to tell a 4 minutes segment, and it all embelishes the story. That's a born storyteller.

There's not many PPV's I remember from 25+ years ago but this is one of them. I watched it with a good pal as I'd got the PPV on Sky TV and my pal came round to watch it. Something daft like 3am and we're watching Mick Foley flying off a 30 foot cage thinking he was actually dead. But I remember it mainly because my pal some years later moved to America and started a new life, was doing great but was killed by a drunk driver as he walked home one night. I hadn't seen him in years and hoped to again one day but alas it shall never be.

You have to think of this match, it's been almost 30 years now. People are still talking about it. Mick always had the over the top gimmicks, Mick will always be one of my favorite SUPERSTARS /Pro Wrestlers/Hardcore Champions of all time. Back in the attitude era was wrestling. I'm proud to say, I grew up watching the true icons of the business. Without that era, we wouldn't have anything today. everyone always asks about is specific bumps or a specific match but with somone like Mick I woul want to know why in general. He built a reputation for being one of the nicest guys outside the ring... super polite talkative... but his career was brutal... where was the difference... what inside of him made him go from nice guy to i want to do these brutal matches

With all the damage Nick Foley has gone through, How does Jack Black look older?

I'd say being part of the holywood drug fueled pedo cult might have something to do with it.

I watched that live. That was one of the greatest cinematic moments in wrestling history.

Hell In A Cell was great but for me Mick’s most memorable match is Falls Count Anywhere vs. Van Hammer at Clash Of The Champions.

When people say wrestling is fake, I get pissed off because i remember these matches. Put those people in the ring with the Undertaker and let them go through what Mick went through that night, let's see if they will live to say "wrestling is fake" again.

The amazing thing is, after the fire, barbed wire, bumps and tacks, socko probably made him way more money.

I'd ask "How did it feel to suplex HHH onto a pallet, to have the pallet stick/shank/poke a hole into HHH.

Foley, Rocky, Austin and Taker are my Mount Rushmore. We grew up in the BEST age of wrestling.

If you’re talking in terms of importance to the wrestling world, I can agree with that list. If you’re talking in terms of actual wrestling ability, Foley and Austin should be no where near that list. 😂

Taker/Bret Hart/HBK/Lesnar would be my Mt Rushmore I think.
