DIY High Lift Vehicle Stands

I'm doing a lot of work on cars as well as a vehicle restoration and I NEED better vehicle stands. I can't fit a lift (hoist) in so I need to build some high lift vehicle stands with removable ramps. Of course space is limited so thoughts about how to store them when not in use is a major consideration.
