Ive been coming back to your channel for recs every few months. I did end up with the Supply SE 2 years ago! I still get nicks occasionally and my shave with it is pretty “close”. (I’ve been trying to learn and trying other methods but 60% of the time, there will be small nicks lol) But I don’t know… I duo it with the Gillette Skinguard, where it reaches around my chin area, weird angles and cleans me up. It’s very counter intuitive imo, so maybe I will finally switch it up soon to the Leaf or Henson as I am shaving daily now and it’s really unsustainable using both razors lol.

Yeah, that supply can be a tough razor. My go to razors of recent are Henson or leaf. The twig, not the thorn.

When I saw you rated Supply Closeness a 1, I laughed and subscribed. That is exactly what I felt. It was my first razor switch from Gillette lab, which disappointed me. I was trying to shave as close as I got from Gillette and I cut myself multiple times from supply. Thank you for the honest review.

Thanks for the response. Yeah the supply razors can be tricky. What did you move on to? And thanks for the compliment.

@@FashionableFather I moved back to Gillette lab cartridge razor. But I decided to switch next month, now I’m choosing between Leaf Thorn or Henson medium, still having a hard time to choose which one to get.

Loved the video. I have been enjoying my Henson AL13 medium (had the mild Al13 but ended up returning that).

Try the Yaqi single edge, cheap to buy but a great shave. Better than the leaf in my opinion.

Great video. This is one of the few "main types" of razor I don't yet have, so if I want to grab one I will refer to this again.

Henson was my first razor in the world of double edge shaving. I gave it to my nephew to get him started. My one and only razor now is the Karve Overlander - aluminum. Bye for now.

Debating between the mild and medium. In your opinion, is the medium worth getting or is the mild performance sufficient?

      @FashionableFather  2 месяца назад

For me the mild is perfect. However, I do go against to get a close shave with all my razors.

Sir, I'm going to have to request that you stop reviewing new razors as it causes me to want to buy and try new options 😂
I have the 2 Supply Razors and I think I agree with your ratings on those. I've never tried the Leaf Twig but I did actually get the Leaf Thorn. I did not expect to like the Thorn as much as I did. Not sure what happened when you tried it but I've noticed that the experience for me changes depending on what blade you use for it. Still going through a sampler but the Gillette Platinum was a good option for me in the Thorn.
I might have to give that Henson a go some day but I've been happy with the options I have so far. Let's see how long I can resist the urge to get another 🙃
Enjoyed the video and breakdown. Take care!

Ironically your request has only inspired me to do more lol! Yeah that thorn incident was probably a one off and I need to give another go. That Henson is just so easy to use and does a great job. But I agree resist the urge; I have too many razors and you have a great selection already.
      Thanks for watching and…inspiring.

I bought a Merkur Futur knock-off from Aliexpress 2 years ago, and have been putting Wilkson Sword razor blades on that bad boy. Still works like a charm. Just wanted to put that out there for all the cheapskates if you want to save a few bucks.
It's been a long time Tim, I'm glad you still upload content. Will there be any watch videos coming up? How's the Seiko 5 holding up?
Sending love from sunny Croatia 👋🏻

It’s been too long since I’ve seen a comment from you. An absolute pleasure. Yeah razors work at any price point.
Seiko 5 is great! I’ve had some watch envy and for you I’d make another vid. Thanks for being there for me!

Wet shaving is a personal thing. With that said, I wouldn't any of those razors. Out of my 50 plus razors I'd pick my vintage Gillette Slim adjustables with a Perma Sharp blade.

What gives me the best shave is TOBS preshave oil,TOBS Sandalwood shaving cream, the three blade LEAF for the first pass and the across the grain pass and the LEAF TWIG for against the grain and close trimming...
