Critter is an underrated treasure. There's a reason all the "virtuosos" want to play with him.

I have listened to Bluegrass music for a long time, but it was interesting to learn how the different instruments play in a band.

Critter is my absolute favorite guitarist. If you get a chance to see Mighty Poplar live, do it! Noam Pikelny is like the Yngwie of banjo

Chris Eldridge can alternate pick better than me being a father to my 4 children. If that doesn’t make sense, well it doesn’t…and either does Chris’ unreal alternate picking. It’s so good it doesn’t make sense. I LOVE the Punch Brothers and this is coming from a die hard progressive metal nut that plays 7 string guitars. Something so metal about The Punch Brothers.

Awesome video. I'm a huge Punch Brothers fan and this is the first time I've seen Critter interviewed one on one. He's such an incredible player, it was a real treat to get some insight into his approach. Now, I'm off to check out Mighty Poplar.

Hey Marty I need some advice and who better to come to. I’m kinda in a middle ground as I have the ambition to become a decent guitar player but I just don’t have the passion. I was kind of a rift play but I have learnt a few songs but anytime I want to learn a new one I get really stuck and stop playing I don’t know where I should go from now. I hope you can shed some wisdom on me.

Thank you marty. This one is cool. Love punch Brothers. Kinda sad how npr did Chris Thiele dirty with prairy home companion.. or after Chris got the host spot turned into American something. I likeed it when Garison Kieller still had it. But got cancle cultured out of it. But the guest music guests where always great. But, they killed it Using Covid lockdowns. I have gotten to go see Trampled by turtles. Looking for a chance I can afford to get to a punch Brothers show.

You can play all these songs, but can’t play ripped pants by SpongeBob. Embarrassing…
