Fun fact: In an interview he mentioned the guy complaining about the Internet on the plane was actually him, he got mad and later realized what a douche he sounded like.
There are 2 categories for stress: Distress, which is what we commonly refer to as stress , being stressed out etc and Eustress, which is "the good kind of stress" like working out or being challenged without being overwhelmed.

When I was a kid, not only did we have a rotary phone, but we had a "party line", meaning we had to count rings. I believe ours was two rings. Everybody else knew when we got a call.
I understand how you feel I go to Mexico regularly all of my family is there and sometimes half a city does not have running water and it's a "tourist" town but I always have the most amazing time anyway the city is lively at night walking around is safe and fun (military surrounds the city and there's a Navy base there) so I understand the culture shock and trying to adapt to your surroundings rapidly. The stars likewise are amazing I had Neptune send me beams of energy waking me up and I "felt" the planet staring at me lmao
When he talks about the spoiled generations his talking about yours. Everybody like to say "yeah, kids these days...", and believe they're the last "non-spoiled" generation. But he's talking about us too. And he's also talking about his own.
A lot of people in America have no idea how priviledged they are. They also have no idea what real hardship and oppression looks like.
True, not just America though, in all western countries.
That's funny because almost every person I know from third world countries who lived here in the US for a while ended up going back and saying the US sucked and was quite stressful.

The longest time I spent in one flying trip including transits was 3 days straight and even though it was exhausting I still think of it as a cool adventure!

Well its all about perspective. For example, if you are from certain places in Europe and you visit the US, you also see some level of poverty that is unknown in Europe.
When i go shopping i play a little game in my mind. Standing at the shelf with the spices i think about how much a king back in the old ages would pay to get them and then i look at the buying price. This cured me from being a socialist leftie pretty quick by actually seeing capitalism in action, instead of hearing stories about it

lets see......our capitalist system.......the government takes our taxes and spends it on the rich; the rich control the government.
the monarchy of yesterday.......the king taxes the people, and uses it to enrich himself; also uses it to make himself look good in the eyes of the rich neighboring kings.
kind of sounds like the same system, just with a single governing person vs a central government system.
on the other hand, us "social lefties" just want to take that tax money and use it to provide healthcare and education to everyone. but you go ahead and support our current system, where thousands die every year because they cant afford to go to the doctor; and where we have one of the dumbest populations on the planet.

Looking forward to more Louis C.K. It's really fun to watch you react to "stronger humor", since it's not for everyone. Bill Burr is one of my favorite comedians, and some of my female friends found him distasteful. I like it that you take all of it in stride, and lightly, the way it's supposed to be. Louis C.K. has a similar effect to Bill Burr in which the way he calls out things in "strong" ways (differently), but it also makes you think and have a different perspective!
People often confuse "distasteful" with truthful, for obvious reasons.
You are unique, love your takes and your channel.

I do understand your experience is like mine, my entire family lives in what is considered to be a third world country but 100 miles or so separates them from me here in the US, it is so frustrating when I go visit and HALF the city does not have running water and this is where tourists come to visit primarily. I always give as much as I can to them and why I started several businesses to help them out, all in all the people there definitely understand what life is supposed to be like

I’ve only flown a couple of times but it’s amazing. I literally gasped when we took off for the first time. On the way back the person next to the window closed the blind. They seemed annoyed to be on the plane. It blew my mind. I think a lot of people have anxiety because they try to control too much. You can’t control the universe, and the more you try the more frustrated you will become. Let go. If you’re late, you’re late. No internet? Just sit there and breathe. That’s the only thing we are guaranteed is the air coming in and out of our lungs, and even that’s not forever. Float with the river, and your life will be a lot happier. Just my two cents.

its a good thought because it makes us think how ungrateful we are but I think it just circles back at how old people complain about their phones being hard to dial zeros.
think about it, what would the older people think, the people that didnt have any phone or any technology that louis experienced and complained about, so they would also say how ungrateful louis is for complaining and now louis is saying how ungrateful the current generation is, its just a cycle because the truth is theres always room for improvement and complaining is a way to know how we can improve stuff like how internets are slow and transportation is a hassle. we can still improve that for future generations thats why we complain and thats how louis generation feel as well and improved over the years.
The problem with comedians on late night shows is that they just do bits from their standup. Conan is just there to set up the next bit. So there's rarely actual conversation.

Hi Bigdurdy :^) might i suggest the excellent reccomendation of Norm Mcdonald, his comedy is quite niche but if you begin to understand him i believe you’ll love his comedy, all his stuff is great but i’d specifically recommend his Conan appearances, his podcast moments, and his stand up. lol thats a lot but trust me he’s done a lot more, also another comedian i’d reccomend is the wonderful Gilbert Gottfried

At the end of the day whichever generation you make the subject is a product of the environment they were born and raised in. I can't blame the next generation if I put them in a life of luxury while enabling their constant whining. You have to simulate some hardship to balance it out.
