Norse Gods. The days of the week are named after Norse gods: Sun, Moon, Tyr, Odin, Thor, Freyja... Saturday is legitimately Roman, for Saturn

The ancient Babylonians named the days of the week after the 7 planets visible in the sky. They noticed that 7 objects in the sky moved differently from the other stars so came to the conclusion that they can’t be stars and must be something else. Those 7 planets hilariously were Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, the Sun and the Moon. It’s hilarious because the Sun absolutely is a star and the moon isn’t a star or a planet and they didn’t even know that the thing they were standing on was also a planet. Anyway over time some of them did get renamed after gods but Saturday, Sunday and Monday are still named after Saturn, the Sun and the Moon to this day 👌

The ancient Goths (ancestors to the Nordics) had similar named days after their gods
*Sunninsdags* =for the sun Goddess, Sáuilō
*Mēninsdags* =for the moon God, Mēna
*Teiwsdags* =for the war God, Teiws
*Wōdanisdags* =for the wisdom God, Wōdans(or Gáuts)
*Thunarisdags* =for the thunder God, Thunars (or Faírguneis)
*Friddjōsdags* =for the mother Goddess, Friddja (or Fráujō-Gáuta)
And for Saturday, they called it *"Thwahlisdags"* or *:Wishing Day"*

I’ve noticed that if a word doesn’t sound like a variation of a Romance language word, in English, you can pretty much assume it’s a word with a Norse root.

Only theologians have no doubt that Jesus was real.
Unfortunately, the historians have unearthed zero evidence of his existence, and I trust an expert in this matter over theologians who have a vested interest in this being true.

Logically, God doesn't need defending. Why would an omnipotent presence with infinite power in all directions in time and space need defending? What people defend is their belief. Even atheists do that.

I think if you so desperately need everyone else to believe the same things as you that you become angry when they don't, its because you have self doubt about your own faith.
It comes off as very insecure when you claim someone to be ignorant because they don't have faith in the same things you have faith in.

Christianity is not a religion. A religion is human's effort to reach God. Christianity is God's effort to seek humanity. I sent you a treatise. Have you read it? This man offends me, especially his abuse of the only name under heaven by which we can be saved. You can drop F bombs on me all day but do not abuse the name of Jesus.

    • @YoMama_Said
      @YoMama_Said 8 месяцев назад

You're absolutely backward. Christianity is indeed a religion. Religion is man's vain attempt at reaching God on man's own terms.
Christianity is a sham religion in the name of the true God. Your doctrines, salvation, worship practices and divisions are anti-Biblical. The false doctrine of eternal torment is a good example. From cover to cover, the Scriptures testify of the intentions of God toward men and all of creation. The Bible clearly states that God will reconcile all of creation to Himself and that all men will be saved in the fullness of time.
“For it pleased the Father that in Him should all fulness dwell, and, having made peace through the blood of His cross, by Him to reconcile all things unto Himself, by Him, I say, whether they be things in earth or in heaven” (Colossians 1:19-20).
"The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance” (II Peter 3:9).
"For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order…And when all things shall be subdued unto Him…God may be all in all” (I Corinthians 15:21,22, 23, 28).
That's only a few of many. It amazes me how utterly ignorant of the Scriptures Christians are. It's because Jesus Christ has nothing to do with false religion or those in it. This is also why you trash His law for lawlessness (grace) and are deceived by the doctrines of sadistic liars and murderers (John Calvin and Martin Luther).
You don't have the Lord, only religious indoctrination. Indeed, the name of Christ is reviled throughout the world because of you.
All religions are coming to an end, especially Christianity. You've spread a false gospel and misrepresented Him for long enough. He will utterly destroy it, along with those in it. That means YOU.
Those who take His name upon themselves in vain will not be held guiltless. Indeed, such posers are worse than pedophiles in His eyes.
