Emma has done many covers of contemporary pop artists. All are very good, and some even surpass the original artist in my opinion. One of these is a cover of 'Part of Your World' from the Disney movie 'The Little Mermaid'. From her own home studio, she sings and voice acts the song with stunning vocals interspersed with brief spoken lines very artfully done. At the end she hits and sustains an seemingly impossible high note that that will give you goosebumps. The video is on her personal RUclips channel, and would make for a great reaction video. It really demonstrates Emma's amazing range and technical ability.
This performance of Hallelujah was amazing. Emma has taken an iconic song covered by many established artists and put her own stamp on it. It is a work of fine art, and one that, like 'Voila', she will always be remembered for.
It is impossible to fully or adequately describe her extraordinary talent. Yes, she has had some training, and she works very hard for perfection on her own, but much of her ability is simply God-given, natural talent. She is a born singer and performer.
Thank you for your reaction. It was very enjoyable and your insights about Emma are spot-on. Al the best.

She is extraordinary! More than talent! If you get into quantum physics and sound frequencies and universal consciousness, the soul, and the interplay among these, it is apparent these dimensions are working harmoniously to create the “Emma Phenomenon “ which is the projection from Emma to the listener that tickles their soul in a manner rarely experienced in one’s lifetime. It is as if her soul has a two-way conduit to God and you can ride with her!

This really is a nice cover of this song. And Emma did make it completely her own. Just to let you know: on Friday, July 12 (Dutch time, so maybe in Australia it is on the 13th) a brand new song will be officially released during the Vrijthof concert in Maastricht. That's where it all started a year ago. The announcement came from Pierre Rieu, son from André Rieu, so it is serious. Not a cover this time but an orginal song: "Dancing on the stars". I already did watch listen to not official handy-recordings with not perfect sound quality, recorded by members of the audience during this years first 2 Vrijthof concerts (there will be 12 concerts in total) and I was completely surprised (in the best possible way). I think this song is more than worth a reaction when it is released. You have already seen it with "Voilà": Emma, she is 16 now, does not stop singing till everyone is emotional... And this new song is no exception.

Perhaps her two most important songs after Voila are Butterfly (Music Festival is the most powerful), and Strijder (Warrior), the official video. Both have copies with English translations.

This isn't the first time Emma has sung Hallelujah, she did a performance with a very different group, a Male Voice Choir in Maastricht, several years younger, she was 13 when she did this event, so it's different but equally powerful, her growth delay is very evident here.

She's for sure benefitted from Andre's very significant experience, he's nurtured a number of young singers, but no one quite like Emma, I've been watching Andre for close on 15 years, he's giving her a lot of freedom to do things that most singers of her age can't do, and it's coming across very well, she truly is an incredible performer.
So, what else to tell you about.
Let's have a bit of fun for a moment, a short song she recorded at home, no audience or anything like that, but she clearly enjoyed herself producing it.
Franks Sinatra cover 'Let it Snow' short
    ruclips.net/user/shortstoEl0h_SmWI
I've no way to prove this one way or the other, it's very possible that as well as the singing track, Emma may also have produced the piano track, she's a competent keyboard and violin player, I wish I could find out more, but I don't have the close contacts.
Songs that mean something to her, the first a Miley Cyrus cover 'The Climb', recorded for Tube feeding week, a powerful song with deep meaning for Emma.
    ruclips.net/video/dOhzlDEuCBg/видео.html
A Disney cover from the film, 'The little mermaid,', a Halle Bailey cover 'Part of your world',
    ruclips.net/video/itxs-aNyRJY/видео.html
Ariel is expressing a desperate desire to be able to live in a different situation, a new reality, a world away from her experience, and of course, this is very much Emma's situation, she desperately wants to be free of the problems of living with gastorparesis.
She's released 2 songs of her own, both in Dutch, there's translations in either the description, or as subtitles, the first is another song that's experssing a dream, and her deep desire to be free of her limitations because of her disease,
LAAT MIJ EEN VLINDER ZIJN , let me be a butterfly
    ruclips.net/video/Zcxan9R5s4E/видео.html
There's a few moments of deep emotion between 2:02 and 2:40, where she sings, 'if only for a day, or even for a count of 10, I'd just like to live as another,', as she sings it, her eyes close, she gently shakes her head from side to side, and then her head goes down, and she falls silent, as she's facing the awful reality that no matter how much she might desire to be free of her illness, for now, there is no cure, no release from all of the issues that surround it, including the very real pressure of being on the feeding pumps for 22 hours a day,
Then, she decides that she is NOT going to let this disease define her, she is going to rise above it, and her head comes up, and she soars to a new top note, she is going to fight every inch of the way to live as normal a life as is possible, she is going to soar like that newly hatched butterfly emerging for the first time from the cocoon that it spent so much time in maturing and changing.
Her second single is also very much expressing the warrior fighter theme, Strijder, another powerful song, her life, her reality, and she's showing just how determined she is to win through.
Recent release of a single Strijder
    ruclips.net/video/rL0GLdnWEKk/видео.html
version with English subtitles, VERY helpful
    ruclips.net/video/e2em5mVtZmQ/видео.html
Given the limits on her performing time, and her age, there's no other original work, but there's a lot of covers of songs, a lovely song, again in Dutch, with translations available, Door de wind, accompanied by Frank Steijns, who is also a violin and carrillon player with Andre's orchestra, and a close family friend,
    ruclips.net/video/Vpin7CjdU2I/видео.html
In my earlier comments about Emma's performance of Voila, I mentioned the commemoration concert, and the third song of that event finished with a brief conversation in Dutch and English, where Emma is asked if they should continue to tell the story of those who died, and Emma's response is telling, 'I will, for as long as I can', and it's a recognition that Emma has no way to know what her life expectancy might be, only a few months earlier, she recorded a touching unaccompanied song for a close friend, Angela, who'd just died of the same disease, and she also sang part of her first single at the memorial service, deeply moving.
When I Get There - @PinkVideoVault Unaccompanied short, very powerful, a song about the passing of a very close friend, given Emma's own situation, so incredibly deep and moving, just incredible.
Translation of the note in Dutch,
'Last night my dear friend Angela became a star! 💗
I'm going to miss you incredibly much, but every time I look at the starry sky I know you're looking back 💗'
    ruclips.net/video/0nIpN86mw6E/видео.html
Memorial song for Angela also, Laat Mij Een Vlinder Zijn 13 May 2023 a video short,
    ruclips.net/video/k-ZtoS0E1B8/видео.html
'Today I had the opportunity to sing at the farewell of my dear friend Angela 💘
Angela always wanted to go viral with her tiktoks, she wanted to be popiejopie! Let's make this happen, share this message as much as possible so that Angela goes viral and she can really be popie from above ♥🙏🏻'
A song from Andre's world tour in the Benelux countries, in German, another language in which she's fluent, Ein Bisschen Frieden, she starts it with a cheeky smile and a raised finger for quiet, and then a capella for the first verse.
    ruclips.net/user/shortsi-eX4AGKbIM
    ruclips.net/video/aC-QtYbGRoE/видео.html
There's no 'official' version, so these are audience captures, the first is a short, so needs to be stopped, and the second part loaded, it's a lovely rendering of the 1982 German Entry to Eurovision, and as well as a capella, after Andre has brought everyone else in to the song, Emma does some beautiful counter harmony, it's very different.
For a little light entertainment, but it shows how close Andre and Emma are, and the deep respect that's there, Andre flew the family and some close friends to Athens recently for her 16th Birthday, they had a party together, and that evening during the concert, he had the entire audience of 13,500 singing 'Happy Birthday' to her, and after that, the audience went impromptu, and sang a Greek version to her, before she then sang the planned song, Michael Jackson''s 'Heal the world', a deeply strong song given the political instability that's very much the case in parts of Europe and the Middle East.
    ruclips.net/video/_-7vc9JrJfE/видео.html
    A song from 2021,
    Vincent Starry Starry Night
    ruclips.net/video/Sbs6iPRFQq8/видео.html
THis is a duet with her sister, Sophie
Another song from 2022, but in her home studio, Euphoria, very short, incredibly powerful
    ruclips.net/video/uUf5QmV9TQQ/видео.html
Applause @sofiacarson ,I think she does a duet track on this, but I think it's all Emma
    ruclips.net/video/oRbzLRvmemQ/видео.html
Another 2023 song, in a TV studio, 'Out here on my own',
    ruclips.net/video/pNixNRjc5Zg/видео.html
Christmas 2023, we're going to come round full circle, a studio performance with Rob Mennen on piano, a short but very powerful slightly different version of Hallelujah, even stronger than the previous one from the Christmas show, she was physically in the studio, but as for where she was mentally and emotionally, I'm not sure where that place and time was, but it was somewhere special, and she gave it everything, physically and emotionally, and this time TV MAX got the volume on her microphone right, it was a bit low in the Christmas event, which didn't help.
    ruclips.net/video/ma01DXvF5Vk/видео.html
Hopefully, this will give you a flavour of the sorts of things Emma's doing, but I've just got space to mention a couple of short videos from Andre's Christmas concerts,
Emma Kok White Christmas, starts with unaccompanied solo, very moving, absolute silence in crowd start slightly clipped
    ruclips.net/video/0uDfbOpXC1o/видео.html
    All I want for Christmas,
    ruclips.net/video/Smk3og1H7iI/видео.html
Space is my enemy, due to RUclips's post length limit, and I both want and need to close with my normal signature sign off when talking about Emma, , and hope that people will respond to it.
Emma's foundation can be found at gastrostars.nl
If at all possible, please join me in making a (regular) contribution to Emma's foundation, they are a small but dedicated group of people working on research on this awful disease, with a view to providing additional support to patients like Emma and hopefully finding new treatments or even better, a cure for the disease.
One of the key people in the team is a surgeon with significant experience of treating gastroparesis patients, but as a result of a worsening of her condition, as she too suffers from this same disease, she has been forced to leave her position as a surgeon, so her focus now is on the work of the foundation, and achieving some new results to help provide answers or treatments.
It would be more than wonderful to hear that a result of the work of the foundation is a treatment or cure that will enable Emma to realise her other dream, and be free of the feeding tube regime, and able to perform more as the incredible singer that she is, and it may be the help of people in this community that makes this a reality.
