I have the 46mm and bought it last Monday and after 8 days of heart rate monitoring but without the AOD I am on 37% - thats with 40 minutes of workout each day. I am seriously impressed to the extent that my Apple Watch has been sat on its charger since last Wednesday - I am not missing the apps on my watch, for me a long battery life, the basic apps and a great look is what I want in a watch. As others have said this watch has built in GPS despite what the video says.

I am using GT since 4 months. It is better then amazfit GTR which I used for two weeks and sold . I have ordered GT 2. Big thumbs Up to Huawei. I am a big fan of Huawei. I am using huawei 20 X mobile with M pen and gampad since 9 months. It works flowlessly for media consumption. It is now my daily drivers with GT watch. Now GT2
Absolutely want this watch asap I don't want all the nonsense on a watch. I want it to tell me the time and be a decent fitness tracker without the need of charging every day. Almost perfect smart watch in my opinion.
I hope you did not buy it. I have the watch gt, not the 2, which has the same op system. The 2 has some new features, but they share the same bugs. If you buy it for sleep tracking, its just broken. It doesnt work. While running, it sometes thinks that im running constantly from the left to the right. Sometes it just doesnt sync the new excercise on my phone. But hey it at least looks great.

The only bugs it has is after midnight it doesn't track the activity minute for the hour but still does the steps and moderate intensity heart rate. It also hasn't worked out my resting heart rate I work night shifts 6pm-6am so I'm guessing it hasn't worked it out for that reason. The sleep tracking has no issues at all when I wake up feeling shit it's obvious it shows I've had bad sleep too much REM not enough deep sleep etc. The battery is amazing even with the continuous heart rate on. Not has to put it on charge yet with continuous heart rate on etc 64% after 5 days
@@damienwoodford I meant that smart alarm(if your watch has one) doesnt work in trusleep. It shows your rem and light and deep sleep, but it doesnt wake you up when you are in light sleep. Jf you switch truslepp off it works but you get almost no data of your sleep. Also it sometimes doesnt show me my notifications.
@@belagajdan You really can't compare the GT to the GT2. It's an improvement in every way. I have a certain time I need to be up for work fuck the smart alarm. Relying on a watch to wake you up is a stupid idea.
This is perfect for me, because I don't need my watch to be extremely smart. I have owned an Apple watch and Samsung gear S3 and I have never actually downloaded and used an app on those two. I need my watch to 1) be a beautiful watch 2) give me notifications 3) do fitness tracking, this one does it all with amazing battery life as well.
I just want a smartwatch to track my steps, show calories, sleep quality and also for when I go cycling, long walks and the gym when doing cardio and weights, this good for those things you think?
I just ordered mine. I get the functionality isn't on par with the likes of the galaxy watch but I dont personally need those extra functions. It fulfills everything I need and the battery life is the main selling point for me. I love it!
Love the look of it and was really tempted by the battery life, then I saw it on a day sale for £149 so decision made. Certainly smarter than my current G-Shock.

Absolutely awesome battery performance! As good as they are, the best smart watches on the market can't match the battery life of this device...not even close.
After 3yrs ..Still now, I used my GT2..batterylife was good, i think still normal, loudspeaker still good, the glass still good, bloetooth normal, gps normal, counting step normal... this is the one of beastceap product !!
Hey Chris, I was skeptical at first, but bought the watch (thanks to your review, used, first hand, for €50,-) and I must say, it's one cool watch. Using Health Sync app (Android), I can upload (and have uploaded) all my exercises to Strava - I can answer calls/talk on the phone with the phone in the pocket, listen to my music (from the phone or watch) and change tracks on a bike ride without having to reach out to my phone (this was essential for me). Battery life (and features) compared to my Suunto is phenomenal, out of this world.
This review nearly stopped me buying this watch because you said it doesn't have GPS and you can't download new watch faces. According to other reports it does have GPS and you can download new watch faces. I'm not sure who to believe exactly but I can always try it and return it if it doesn't have these features. Another problem is different sites say that the watch has different storage sizes which is also frustrating
Pretty sure I have seen other reviews where they changed volume of speaker, it has GPS and as far as a watch goes battery life is much more important than ability to reply to messages, cellular connection etc

It's a bit ridiculous, to follow my half marathon training plan I have to carry BOTH my phone and a watch, kinda makes you wonder what's the purpose of the watch if you have to carry the phone... I expected an actual integration between Huawei App and Huawei watch
Going to change from galaxy watch active 2 to this one. I know how great all the features in tizen OS, but I don't use most of them and top priority for me is AOD, notification and battery life. Didn't expect for a smartwatch to have a week of juice with AOD! Cheers for this review mate :)
@Max Hoekstra From my personal use of GT2, it didn't feel great even with the AOD. The AOD is different than the actual watch face and i don't like the only 3 choices of AOD. The unresponsiveness was annoying to say the least. I tried it at a shop first before buying and it felt ok, but after long use, i realized i was wrong in hindsight. What's great about it was that the battery and the looks. So imo no, galaxy active 2 is better. You just have to get used to charging here and there.
It's a pity you did not test accuracy. Just done 10km and watch shows 8.5km, 15% out, Steps around the same. Cannot adjust for stride. I bought the GT2 last week and I am awaiting the GT2 Pro to be delivered. They may be soon going back as not fit for purpose.

What about the currentl situation between huawei and google. Is it easy enough to download the huawei app gallery in order to get the updated versions of the HMS and health apps? The watch itself seems pretty rad and way cheaper than the competition.
I would recommend updating this video (at least with a text tag) to correct the issues with it. Obviously the GPS issue is glaring and also the GT 1 also has always on feature (though added later as a patch). It would increase this channel's credibility greatly in my opinion.

If you are doing a review, check the product out first. There is GPS and the watch does have a lock function which would explain the freeze you experienced.
My watch gt2 stopped recieving WhatsApp call notification anymore. I used too get my WhatsApp call directly to my watch gt2. Now suddenly stopped working. However I tried connecting to iPhone it works fine. Only it's not working if I connected to any Android phone. Any idea? How to fix.
Just got this watch free with a new Matebook laptop, can't be bad. Replaces a Huawei Band 4 which does pretty much the same stuff, but with a smaller display.
Would you say it's a better deal than the Galaxy Watch? It's around the same price(30 euros cheaper) where I live and I consider buying one of em. My needs are music,calls, a good design and step count. I dont really care about notifications.
