Pasty went to school with my grandfather in Winchester Virginia. They where friends and she went to prom with my great uncle. My grandmother always said she had a wonderful personality and a true gift.
Patsy Cline has one of the best country voices around. Patsy had so many great hits such as "She's Got You", "When I Get Through With You", "So Wrong", "Leavin' on Your Mind", "I Fall To Pieces" "San Antonio Rose", "Blue Moon Of Kentucky", "Half As Much", "He Called Me Baby", "Faded Love", "Imagine That". She was only 31 when she died in a plane crash in 1963. In 1985 Jessica Lange starred in the movie about Patsy's life called "Sweet Dreams.
One thing about Patsy is that she not only talked the talk, but she walked the walked, literally. She sang songs with emotion that she had experienced.
I love Patsy Cline. Everything she did was a timeless classic. Another great singer was David Frizzell. He did a really funny song called I'm Gonna Hire A Wino To Decorate Our Home.
Another Patsy Kline mega hit is Crazy, written by Willie Nelson, also covered by the a cappella group Home Free. Love, love, love your reactions. Your reaction recently on American Soldier by Toby Keith made me cry. What a great guy you are.
Patsy Cline was a very important figure for country music. She led the way for female singers. In 1973, she was the first female country singer inducted into the Hall of Fame. She was also one of the first women inducted into the Grand Old Opry.
Patsy will always be timeless! Listen to Crazy written by Willie Nelson. Sweet Dreams, I Fall to Pieces, Leavin on Your Mind, and She's Got You. So many to pick from!
Sweet Dreams is the most heart felt of all her songs..wasnt published until after her death...but it will stay with me forever...so haunting and beautiful...her voice draws me in.
I can never get enough of Patsy---it, kinda, blows me away, how much she is, still, so greatly loved and appreciated. I'm so happy that you appreciate her---alotta times, younger people don't like "old country". My next favorite of hers, is "I Fall to Pieces".
my favorite all time country female singer..I use to sing her songs with friends who were musicians....this is my favorite of her songs but there are so many considering she was only 30 when she was killed in the plane crash its amazing how many first rate songs she had ...Crazy, Blue, You belong to me..so many more
Patsy is the woman that the women in country music, and even her contemporaries like Loretta Lynn and Brenda Lee (they were friends at the time of Patsy's death and Patsy had career success first and looked out for Loretta and Brenda both) looked up to, Reba, Dolly, and even the contemporary stars will tell you, it was Patsy Cline who they felt set the standard for country music. Patsy's recordings around the time of her death had the so called Nashville sound, with orchestras and full strings and great backup singers like the Jordanaires who also sang back up for Elvis among many. Another person that so many reactors are sleeping on who also recorded in the Nashville sound and who music had a hard time categorizing and as a result got rock, pop and country play and not nearly enough recognition in my opinion is Brenda Lee. She began recording when she was just a child but had a mature woman's voice and thankfully is still going strong at a young 77 today. I would suggest listening to her song I'm Sorry as an intro. You may have already heard her and never realized it because she sang the now Christmas standard, Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree.
♥ She was 31 when she died in a plane crash in 1963. She was good friends with Loretta Lynn. She was one of the trail blazers for women in country music.
Patsy was one of a kind I think the best compliment ever given was when someone asked Willie Nelson what his favorite version of his song Crazy was (Willie wrote the song and sold it to Patsy Cline for $25), and he answered "Patsy's version still chokes me up whenever I hear it".
Hope you'll check out more of Miss Patsy. She has so many wonderful hits. My favorite is" I Fall to Pieces". Thanks for playing this fantastic icon of country music. 🥰🥀
Yes, more Patsy Cline! No matter which of her songs you react to it will be wonderful. I was just a kid when she was killed in a plane crash, my parents were crushed, they played her songs all the time as I was growing up. Thank you for my daily dose of joy.
I LUV watching you react to music you haven't heard yet. You just listen to the music and song and do not try to judge it. Very good ;-) older than you are Jacismiles4u
Patsy Cline also sang "Blue" which you reacted to sung by Leanne Rhines. Grow up with Patsy on the Hi-fi as a kid. Lucky me. Lots more for you Craig. Great reaction. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
Her song Crazy was #2 all time played song on juke boxes over here in USA, Only Hound Dog beat it. I feel several of Pasty's songs are timeless, including Sweet Dreams.
When my friend and I go to our local bar we always play Patsy Cline on the jukebox....idk why, it's not music from our age group but it's just timeless...plus my mom had every Patsy Cline album when I was little and played them a lot.
songs of this time period were pretty much limited to 3 minutes or less - mainly because there just wasn't room on a 45 rpm record for more grooves, also AM radio liked to sell air time to advertisers so 3 minutes and an ad, maybe 2 songs and an ad
If you're gonna sing Country Music, Patsy Cline is who you are measure against. Patsy is an AMAZING singer. One of my favorites of Patsys songs, a cover of "Faded Loved". You can hear Patsy crying in this song. By the end your heart will be breaking too! Every song Patsy sang, she felt & you can hear it in her voice. Patsy, Loretta Lynn & Brenda Lee toured together. Also Patsy gave her scrapbook to Dottie West. I wonder what happened to it? Did it get sold by the I.R.S.(I.R.S. went after Dottie for taxes owed. Bad management stold $$ from Dottie. I.R.S. took everything she had.) or did Shelly West inherit it from her mom, when Dottie died??? Patsy had some great female singers as friends & she tried to help them. Patsy taught Loretta Lynn a lot.
You have only scratched the surface. Hers is the voice by which all female country artists are measured. She died far too young. ‘Why Can’t He Be You’ showcases her voice very well
Hello. You are reviewing the 1957 version for this Patsy Cline classic. Please check out and rereview this hit, the 1961 version. It's bluesier, a hint of gospel, and backing vocals from Elvis' the Jordanaires. Look for "Walking After Midnight (1961)", by PatsyClineFan1 or Patsy Cline . Thank you. Merry Christmas!
Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn were best friends. Patsy died in a plane crash while Loretta was pregnant with her twin girls in which she named Peggy and Patsy
My Mam and Dad used to listen to Patsy all the time and I know that influenced my love for her music...beautiful butterscotch voice. I would say only KD Lang comes close to her in today's artists...
Pasty went to school with my grandfather in Winchester Virginia. They where friends and she went to prom with my great uncle. My grandmother always said she had a wonderful personality and a true gift.

Not just “country voices”… she could do anything. No vocal gymnastics of tricks just pure talent and emotion!
Patsy Cline had a timeless voice. I was about 13 when she died in that plane crash. It was so sad. Her songs are still listened to today.
She had perfect pitch. That voice! I love her mystic. Thankfully my parents exposed me to her 💓
♥ The teardrop in her voice is signature Patsy and can't be replicated. Such a beauty, inside and out.
One thing about Patsy is that she not only talked the talk, but she walked the walked, literally. She sang songs with emotion that she had experienced.

This song was released in 1957 and is one of her many great hits. Looking forward to more reactions of her songs. You have a blessed day.
Another one of her wonderful songs, it will forever be popular.
Patsy Cline was a very important figure for country music. She led the way for female singers. In 1973, she was the first female country singer inducted into the Hall of Fame. She was also one of the first women inducted into the Grand Old Opry.
She isn't just the greatest female country singer of all time, I think she is one of the greatest female singers of all time.
Patsy Cline was one of a kind......timeless was perfect for her! She was so awesome!
“Sweet Dreams” is my favorite. “Crazy” comes in a close second with “She’s Got You” rounding out my top three.
She was a tremendous talent.
RIP.
Man she was gone waaaay before my time, but I still listen to her music. She had it. Beautiful woman, and definitely country royalty.
Patsy had that one of a kind voice. The cry in her voice is beautiful. Next try “I Fall To Pieces” and “She’s Got You”

Where I live, when they play Patsy, you get up and dance. No excuses are accepted.
Taylor it was done in 1956 I was only a week kid the drummer was Farris Coursey and the rest of the gang were A Listers from Nashville
“She’s Got You” and Sweet Dreams” are beautiful.
I can never get enough of Patsy---it, kinda, blows me away, how much she is, still, so greatly loved and appreciated. I'm so happy that you appreciate her---alotta times, younger people don't like "old country".
My next favorite of hers, is "I Fall to Pieces".
Nobody sings like this. She was a powerhouse.
A true classic. I grew up with her music and I just turned seventy.
Gotta love Patsy. Timeless for sure!
It is timeless! This is my #1 karaoke 🎤 song, lol. Classic voice, still available on every jukebox I know of no matter what bar you may be in. 😉

She had an amazing voice…..listen to her song called Crazy!!!! Wonderful!!

"She Got You" stunning song.
Need to listen to Crazy. Written by Willie Nelson.
SIR: Along with some of Patsy's hit recordings other commenters innumerate, please don't forget her most beautiful rendition of "Crazy"! THANK YOU! 🤗
♥ She was 31 when she died in a plane crash in 1963. She was good friends with Loretta Lynn. She was one of the trail blazers for women in country music.
You'll be blown away if you hear her do "Sweet Dreams".

You said it, "timeless" is a perfect description. Love your reaction❤

Great reaction. I'm glad you enjoyed her song. I don't think she ever did a bad one.
We lost her to early in her life. She was one of the greatest.
Wow - does that bring me back. She was very popular especially with Crazy.
Her songs are great. Love singing them at karaoke.
I LUV watching you react to music you haven't heard yet. You just listen to the music and song and do not try to judge it. Very good ;-) older than you are Jacismiles4u
I Fall To Pieces is one of her best, to me anyways!!
I love Patsy. My favorite is Sweet Dreams, it is just a WOW song.
I do a lot of Patsy Cline when I sing....I love her songs...simple and pure Country sound...love her!!
Sadly, she died at only 30 years old in a plane crash. He career success continued on long after her death in 1963.
Love it. Keep doing more of Patsy
Patsy Cline also sang "Blue" which you reacted to sung by Leanne Rhines. Grow up with Patsy on the Hi-fi as a kid. Lucky me. Lots more for you Craig. Great reaction. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
Blue No, Patsy Cline did not record Blue.
@@daleflix" I'm Blue Again" was the one I was thinking of. Thanks for the info. 👍✌️🇨🇦
Her song Crazy was #2 all time played song on juke boxes over here in USA, Only Hound Dog beat it. I feel several of Pasty's songs are timeless, including Sweet Dreams.

No other female singer has ever, nor will ever, compare to Patsy Cline.
Released in 1957. Written by Alan Block
Sweet Dreams is another great song by her and the title of the movie about her. Great movie starring Jessica Lange and Ed Harris
My mother loved Patsy she’d sing me to sleep with her songs when I was a child.
Patsy was one of a kind. You should try Barbara Mandrell-If Loving You is Wrong, Years, and of course- I Was Country When Country Wasn’t Cool
A little more upbeat is Patsy’s’ I’m Back in Baby’s Arms
The Queen. Absolutely the best! And, oh yes… please react to her version of “ Crazy”. Willie Nelson said her version of his song was his favorite.
Oh… I just saw that you reacted to “ Crazy”…on my way to watch it now…Thank you!!!
When my friend and I go to our local bar we always play Patsy Cline on the jukebox....idk why, it's not music from our age group but it's just timeless...plus my mom had every Patsy Cline album when I was little and played them a lot.
I think as a veteran, you would appreciate Trilogy by Travis Tritt -- three part story in song.
Sweet dreams is my favorite.
My personal favorite Patsy is She's Got You
It's 65 years old.

Released in 1957.

Try Lovesick Blues ( a Hank Williams song) and Blue Moon of Kentucky. she does light yodeling ion them.
Patsy recorded this song in 1957.
Garth Brooks did a very good cover of this song in the '90s, I think it was.
songs of this time period were pretty much limited to 3 minutes or less - mainly because there just wasn't room on a 45 rpm record for more grooves, also AM radio liked to sell air time to advertisers so 3 minutes and an ad, maybe 2 songs and an ad

Another great artist taken too young. She had another one of those unmistakable voices.

Love Patsy Cline...she was a contralto...not one of the common soprano that are always pushed for female voices. It's beautiful
My Mam and Dad used to listen to Patsy all the time and I know that influenced my love for her music...beautiful butterscotch voice. I would say only KD Lang comes close to her in today's artists...
Please do a reaction to Sweet Dreams...it will be one of your best reactions im sure of it
Garth Brooks did a remake of this, with a little different flare.
listen to Crazy
I request Darrly Worley "Have you Forgotten" Please. Another 911 song
