Ordered this watch from my local jeweler and am patiently waiting for it to arrive. I’m super excited to get it on my wrist 👍🏻

Thanks for the video. I think this colorway is the best of them. Likely pick one up but no plans yet. Cheers from Atlantic Canada!!!

After I got to know San Martin watches, anything Seiko does seems impoverished!

Agreed. I did a video about the 62mas homage years ago. Better quality than any Seiko at the same price bracket.

It, to me, is revolutionary and the biggest thing since the release of the nh35 for budget collectors.
It allows a reliable, easily serviceable, gmt complication for the masses.
Something that collectors in the past had to decide on spending 2x-4x the price on swiss or gamble on a Chinese movement that was more difficult to service, more difficult to get parts, and potentially unreliable.

Practical use is the right term. I enjoy mine very much. Cheers!

Let us not forget, the original dive watches in the early 50s were only 100 meter resistant (like 1954 Rolex Subby), and Jaques Cousteau's famous 50 Fathoms that started the modern diver's watch in 1953 was actually rated for 91 meters (= 50 fathoms)! So, yes, a diver this would have been in years past!
Another thing: OH MY! Do I see Zenith and Praktica 35mm cameras on your shelf? Those are beauties! I spent a few years browsing cameras as a young teen, until I finally bought a Ricoh KR5 in 1979, which still works, but Voigtlander had been on my RADAR until then.

Good argument about the water resistance 🙂👍 And as for 35mm cameras - well spotted 😁👍 it is a bit of a hobby I like vintage tech and sometimes you can get some real gem of a lens on them like I got a couple of early Helios 44s with 13 blade aperture 😍 the images that lens makes are like no other!

Great choice I have the same watch but the back grape colour and looks beautiful

It can be tricky to decide between the black grape and this one - both are pretty cool color combinations imho. Thank you for watching! 🙂👍

It is a nice looking beautiful watch. But how about its accuracy ? - 20 to + 40 spd ???

I have one and measured its accuracy yesterday at 2-3 seconds p/day. It's a terrific piece.

My ssk005 is running +20 spd. That's fine, most 4R and NH 35/36 run fast at first then slow down after two months or so.
