I, too, am shocked! I struggled so long trying to do this on my own, but your tutorial has opened up so much for me when creating new brushes. Wonderfully done, Sami…thanks so much!
This tutorial was super helpful for me, so I just wanted to leave a comment of thanks! I tried it out and the brush worked very well with giving my character a little box braid bob. Much appreciated 🙌🏽
You are an Angel! I’m new to procreate and purchased it mainly to save trees while practicing modern calligraphy. Have tried (and failed terribly) to create brushes; BUT I now am the proud owner of a self-made braid brush thanks to you. Bless you for sharing your talent.
It's not something I'm proud of but I suck at drawing any hair that's not straight. So from the bottom of my heart, seriously, thank you. There have been so many characters I wanted to design or draw with more diverse hair but could never get right and this will be a huge help it's only braids but frankly this has helped just knowing how to make these chain like brushes so even beyond hair this is super helpful, thank you!!!
This video is a year old but I just wanted to say THANK YOU! Your clear explanation, instructions, and visual guidance made this process a lot easier than I expected. Looking forward to using my new brush and experimenting with more! 🎉
YOU ARE AMAZING!!!! I made my first brush ever! Ive always frowned at renderings of braids that just look like cheese puffs and pool noodles. And I love this video so much. Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ you literally just saved so many of my drawings. I was struggling so hard with getting braids the way I needed them to look. You are the best thank you.🎉
I finally understand how this works! Creating brushes just seemed like magic that I would never understand. Thanks for breaking it down like you did, I’m super excited to give it a try! 😊
Omg you are a life & time saver!!! You are so helpful & detailed. Yesterday I drew braids for the first time and it took me all day. THANKS FOR TEACHING ME/US! Im boutta make a million different hair styles now lol
Girl ur brush tut videos are such a life saver. As much as I like getting pre-made brushes, I’ve always wished I could customize my own ESPECIALLY for braids and twists, etc. I took the twist brush I made using mono line and instead used the studio brush for that clean tapered end! 😄😄😄 it’s honestly perfect now 💛💛💛💛
You should make more videos. I came for procreate, but then your voice + the pencil sounds on the tablet gave me asmr lmao. I’ve watched this 3 times now.
Thank you so much this was so helpful! I just wanted to say I turned on the drawing guide for when I drew my braid and it looks more symmetric. Just a little something I wanted to share with anyone else.❤
😱😱 this brush is amazing but you really step it up with the lighting beads and all that. Sooo nice looking I can’t get all the strokes in the right places to look more realistic. Ur an amazing artist
Just figured how to make a braid yesterday. After struggling for a sec haha😅. This was helpful. I’ll be updating my braid brush 🙂! Thank You 😊 Sidenote haha “ur done“ For when my eyes are closed I see you for who you truly dare are 😂
Love this! Thanks for taking the time to film it and share! And for not being stopped by whatever the "right" terms are - because who knows them anyway?!!❤
Thanks so much!! I enjoy making brushes but I couldn’t understand how to do a braid brush so I bought a brush pack but I’m definitely gonna make some of my own now ☺️
You should sell your brushes girl! Would make a great passive income for you. You did a good job and the tutorial is simple and clear and really helpful. Thank you!! I have the Vegalia brushes as well. I love supporting Black artists. I'd buy yours too!!
Thank you for this vid I want to support other creators and buy brush packs but I’m not in the place to do so yet so this has helped a lot I mess my first brush today and I’m proud!
I actually bought like 30$ fur brush pack for this project I’m working on and it acts weird like randomly stamping?? So I’m hoping that orient to screen button is my solution. I love how you broke up the mass of braids with the beads. That stark contrast is beautiful. Looks amazing!
Yeah and if that doesn't do it play with those other settings, as long as you can put it back to where it was you can figure out the mechanics through some trial and error.
Super helpful and easy! One issue I have though it may just be me- when I apply the brush the color dulls like the opacity of the color seems low although it’s all the way up. Do you know what the issue could be? Other than that it was super easy to understand and make Edit: NEVERMIND- my canvas opacity was lowered 🥲😅 still great video
Please can someone help me? I made new brushes, i made spaces etc and they looks good enough for me in preview in brush edit, but when i start drawing it looks like angle, spaces, etc are not like in brush settings preview.
I was looking all over for how to get it to follow the stroke but it doesn’t actually say it in there till you max it out!? 😂😭❤️❤️❤️ Thank you so much!!!
I, too, am shocked! I struggled so long trying to do this on my own, but your tutorial has opened up so much for me when creating new brushes. Wonderfully done, Sami…thanks so much!
