I never knew what it was about this band that I loved for the past 100 years and now I know it's the well thought out poetry.
This guy is my inspiration, man. Just the fact of the matter that he's honest in his songwriting and that it doesn't always come from a happy place. Being able to take that kind of crippling sadness or self-loathing and turn it into something great and helpful is the real talent.
Justin is a real inspiration, such a great mind. Also, props to the interviewer for editing his or herself out of the interview. Is nice.

this man just puts in words how i exactly feel from time to time in a very unique way.
Can anyone else not get enough of him? Like he’s so interesting to me because he is an insanely talented musician/writer but it’s like he doesn’t think so or even realize it...which makes him even better. He totally downplays his abilities and how many people he’s inspired, and it makes me just love the guy that much more.
This man is such a gem. I hope I always get to be in that group that gets to know what music he’s making.
JP is an awesome dude. I wish this interview was much longer. I could just listen to him talk about shit for hours.

I feel this way about comics. Comics about the mundane vs. superhero stuff. Of course, respect to superhero stuff as I got me my start...but now my heart belongs to comics about everyday life. Tbh, American Splendor over Avengers any day.

I don't know if this will actually get an answer TWO YEARS LATER, but -- does anyone know what song he's talking about at around 4:50 that's "disturbing and disgusting"?
