Can you imagine growing up with Nightcrawler and Scarlet Witch as your parents? They’d be nice enough, but it’d be impossible to get around something as simple as being grounded with their power sets. No wonder she’s rebellious

I love that Nocturne in game is just fully Nightcrawler + Scarlet Witch. Of course her ability is just her parents abilities stapled together, but her cost is also the sum of their costs, and her power is the sum of their powers

Nope. No. It was a stroke. A full-on stroke. For a comic book it was taken VERY seriously. A whole issue was dedicated to her torment while bedbound and being visited by her Excalibur teammates.
Oh man, the Scarlet Witch and Nightcrawler flirtation in Wolverine and the X-Men has a precedent! I thought that pairing came out of nowhere in that animated series, but it seems I missed that the comics had already set this up. Wow, the more you know.
The more Exiles character I see get a spot light, the happier I get

I didn’t realize the original Exiles premise was basically the same as GANTZ. That’s wild. I thought it was closer to the Guardians of the Multiverse team we see in the last episode of What If season 1
Nocturne always read as a ex-catholic school girl, given her father, that makes sense, but he's always cool with it.
(What's actually really funny, in Wolverine and the X-Men, Nightcrawler and Scarlet Witch are a flirty thing in the show, which could have shown a version her in a alternate future if the show kept going.)

i loved that show specifically because of their relationship, wish it got a 2nd season so we could see them get together
Tangentially related: in Brazil Nightcrawler's name is localized as Noturno (literally nocturne) and Spanish speaking countries have also localized it similarly (Nocturno).
So like I gotta wonder if that somehow influenced the naming of this other character, if that even happens.
I loved Nocturne from Exiles, I loved the whole original Exiles comics! I wish we could get an animated show or cameo from them, despite the multiverse fatigue
I'd love a Nando's favorite variants in Marvel Snap video. With individual segments for appreciating Strong Guy's Summer Vacation variant and another for all of Dan Hipp's cards.
Now we need a follow-up video on Rasputin IV.
I'm loving this series. I didn't read comics but I'm interested in comic history. So good to get info on these Snap cards that I play against every season but will never have.

Nocturne was the origin of my first WoW character and (since then) online handle. I really loved the Exiles when I was younger.
Knowing nothing about the Exiles, I watched the Blink video first and was immediately hoping her and Nocturne were a couple at some point. They very much look like the epitome of the “this too, is yuri” meme.
Still, Nocturne is such a cool mashup of two very cool characters! Might try reading some of her stuff.
I LOVE the Exiles!!! One of my favorite comics ever. And Nocturne was my favorite character! I need an Exiles cartoon or something already…
I hope we get a variant of her with that nightcrawler outfit that looks awesome

Nocturne is Nightcrawler's name in the Latin-American dub of X-men Evolution.

I didn't know about this character, but I found very interesting that her hero name is almost the same as Nightcrawler's brazilian portuguese adaptation, Noturno (Which literally means nocturnal). Nightcrawler is not a word that translates well to portuguese, so it was a fine adaptation.
Most characters that the names does not have an easy literal translation (Like Spider-Man or Black Panther) get new names, with lots of them making absolutely no sense because they were translated in the 60s or something and translations used to be sloppy.
But Noturno is a well enough compromise to Nightcrawler and it's funny that his daughter ended up having a similar name.
Kinda sucks that "perfectly balanced, works well" means she's weak for the broken effects we've been getting lately, because I really like her.

Love the video, but I completely disagree with her card's execution. Aside from having the same physique as nightcrawler, her powers are shooting energy blasts, and possessing others' bodies temporarily. (Also minor telepathy) She doesn't have Wanda's reality manipulation, nor nightcrawler's teleportation, so movement and location changing don't make sense for her power set. The idea is cool, but plainly wrong. I think she should have been something like a 4/1 on reveal: merge one of the opponents cards here with nocturne.

I started watching this series because of Marvel Snap, and I always enjoy the part of the video where they go over the cards mechanics

I used to play marvel snap but stopped because they nerfed my favorite deck. Still enjoy these videos bc learning about the comic book history is interesting and I wish the game would include some of these bios.
