Swear to god, Elder scrolls. Lord of the Rings. Game of thrones. D&D. Fallout. League of Legends. World of Warcraft. All these fictional worlds have RIDICULOUS amounts of lore. To the point it’s almost realistic, in terms of events and general history and culture. They do such good work. Props to all the writers, anthropologists, Linguists, Historians, Geologists, Theologists, and probably many more profession backgrounds, that work on all this stuff. They know what they’re doing with the lore they create for these worlds.
Which game or show do you think has the most lore? I would probably say *Elder Scrolls* or *DnD* right? The top 3 would probably be *Dungeons & Dragons* universe, *Elder Scrolls* universe and *Lord Of The Rings* universe.
@@ShadowFox10587O shit I forgot about *Warhammer 40k* ... The drow have always been my favorite I got into DnD through the War of the Spider Queen series and playing one in Baldur's Gate 3 has been awesome. Great video
Lolthsworn Rogue/Assassin in Baldurs Gate 3 here🥷🏿, I really love the Akimbo one-handed crossbows, shortswords and daggers. They shall all die in the name of my 🕷queen. I also won't turn down the opportunity of some torture here and there😏.
"[Drow's Darkvision] will likely come in handy should Baldur's Gate 3 take us to the Underdark." Confirmed. We can either get there the slow way, or the express way, just need a Feather Fall spell.
When exactly do you cast Feather Fall, before jumping, during, at the end? Can you include the caster in the spell effect, how? I tried twice to have it cast on my character, by Astarion, and died both times?
excellent video. I love the Drow but never really knew their history. Even though I played D&D as a kid, I never played Drow. It wasn't until the mid 90's when I actually started playing them. Now, I try to play a Drow whenever possible, even if they only "look" Drow. This cleared alot of it for me.
My first BG3 playthrough is gonna be a drow priestess of Lolth and her 3 drow male followers (Warrior, rogue and wizard). And illithids are gonna pay heavily for what they did to her.
Chances are the servants would enjoy kicking her when she's down. That's how Lolthites are (and I mean, after being treated like crap *all the time* by the priestesses, that's understandable)

Man I love this channel. Played all the old games when they came out but never followed the lore much. This channel has remedied that. Also, I can see where the mmo Everquest got the idea for their Dark Elves.
I find it hard to believe there are drow who lived for hundreds of years when violence, betrayal and infighting are so common. And apparently they aren't too hard to kill, based on an event in the first chapter of the very first Legend of Drizzt novel.
I am about 15 hours into *Baldurs Gate 3* since the full release and I just recently made it down to the *Underdark* for the first time ever, I've only heard *The Underdark* being mentioned from time to time and never knew much about it at all so being down here for the first time is pretty crazy... its like a whole other world down here. It seems like *The Underdark* has its own ecosystems and races, like the *Myconids* that I recently just helped. I've been trying to watch videos on *The Drow & The Duegar* since I am running into them for the first time. Like I did not know that the *Duegar* aka *The Gray Dwarves* didn't like each other for whatever reason... *The Drow* are for sure intresting and I would love to see some more videos and read some more about them, anyone who knows any other good videos or information about them, shoot me a link. I've watched all of *Wolfhearts* videos on *The Drow & The Underdark*
Everyone hates and mistrusts Drows but they have high charisma. Drows suffer penalties in the light and has night vision but their cantrips summons torches for them. Wut!?
While they can see in the dark, their slaves cannot. A lot of good a blind slave is, or one stumbling over rocks and crags in the underdark tunnels. Having an instant torch is easier than a real one. Also a good player can be creative with the cantrip.
The cantrip is dancing light but strangely doesn't say that you get faerie fire at level 3 and darkness at level 5. Either they still have to add them since it's a demo or they cut that part, traits like Keen Senses and Fey Ancestry are also missing.
How to successfully fend off an attempt of conquest and enslavement by The Drow.
