Especially if you're not running the gyro at its native rate (e.g. 3.2k for BMI270 gyro or 8k for MPU gyro), it's essential to keep gyro lowpass 2 on, because it includes an anti-aliasing filter. Regardless, gyro 1 is the one you can safely disable if you're using RPM filtering." - JB
I dont even have gyro lowpas 1 I THAT BAD???
if you want less latency and you don't run 8k pid, then turning off lpf2 turns on an averaging filter, so you can actually get less filtering/latency if you turn your lpf 2 to a very high value rather than turning it off in 4.3
So I turned off lpf2 and left lpf1 on instead and it seems smoother on my LR rig. I guess this drone likes the dynamic filter over the static one when combined with the rpm filters. Cool beans!
Wow... honestly surprised at how big a difference just turning off Gyro Lowpass 2 made on my toothpick build. Really cleaned it up on the throttle punches. 👍
I think in another video, JB advises to turn off gyro low pass 1,not low pass 2.

Yo Joshua, of topic. Do you have a video about trowing and catchinh the drone?
What info do you need for that? Throwing drone = angle mode, set arming angle to 180° to allow arm the drone even its upside down. Throw the drone as high as possible, arm and raise a throttle. Catching the drone is just about your ability with LOS flying. You can help yourself with angle mode. Then its just about your reflex to be fast to catch the drone.
He actually just made one maybe a month ago but David is correct. Not much too it. And not the safest thing in the world lol

pid cant be solved just by feeling and no data. i like the ' it is mostly safe to do ' part.

I have 2 crazy bee f4 boards one runs at %24 when plugged in with rpm filtering thats a 1s elrs board the other one runs at %64 thats a 2s frsky board nothing I do brings it down more than 1 or 2 percent any ideas
Verify that they really are on the same BF version. 24% was the old way of showing mpu use, 64% is BF 4.3+. Tuning notes say up to 75% is ok on an F4.

I'm so very curious how many people know how to tune the quad. Statistical information ℹ️. Betaflight has become more and more hard to use for regular pilots. Too many options and you don't understand how to do the perfect tune. My opinion. You have to spend hours and hours to find the perfect tune instead to enjoy flying and after that you crash your quad. .........😭
So just fly the defaults. They fly amazing.
If you use pid tool box you can actually tune your quad pretty quickly and efficiently
