Growing up, I always knew I had an affinity with water. The first memory I had with water was swimming in the Indian Ocean at the age of 6. I remember being fearless and jumping into the ocean (mind you I had no idea how to swim), meanwhile my parents were yelling for me to come back to shore as the currents were getting stronger. Ironically, I live in a small town where the nearest ocean is at least 10 hours drive away. I made up the lack of being able to be one with the ocean by joining a swim team. I was a competitive swimmer and I loved it. However, the chlorine-filled water wasn’t enough to satisfy the longing to be in the ocean. So, I watch your videos. Watching you travel, surf, and swim somehow allows me to escape reality and I’m able to live vicariously through you. Your videos inspire me in ways I cannot begin to comprehend. So, thank you.
