Absolutely fantastic and useful information for ex- pats and anyone new to Barbados. Might be slightly Bias, but totally agree the “Locals” are a minefield of information, and love the opportunity to converse with tourists. Unfortunately, in this social media driven world it’s often overlooked that not everyone is on social media for whatever reason, so miss out on useful information, and connecting with others may be difficult. Barbados is truly an idyllic paradise and as someone who made their first visit in the early 1980’s to visit my parents place of birth it is so wonderful to see the ever evolving and wonderful changes occurring. Such a shame I didn’t get to meet up with you whilst I was in Barbados recently. But hopefully in the future. The Walking group looks like a fabulous activity, and I would love to participate when next in Barbados, hopefully there are other groups on the South Coast also. Looking forward to more vlogs. ❤🇬🇧
Thank you for your feedback I really really appreciate it. 🥰 It would be wonderful to meet up when you are next in Barbados. You are welcome to message me when you next come. More vlogs coming in the future and yes trying to capture the South too.
Love, love, live this video. Looks like you are having a fantastic time. I'll be travelling to Barbados in 3 days and I can't wait. Will be following a lot of your recommendations- thanks so much. ❤
Yes it’s been a fantastic experience getting to know the island it’s history and culture but especially the people! Thank you for your support! 💕 You will love Barbados 🇧🇧
Thank you Marlene, I can definitely understand why you must miss your island! I am working on my next video so make sure you have your notifications on as I have so much to share.😍
HELLO! JAE, GOOD AFTERNOON. IT IS 2:32pm, JUNE 4, 2023, HERE IN THE PHILIPPINES. MY NAME IS: MARIA JOSIE 'JOSH' FRANCISCO. MAY I ASK YOU THIS QUESTION?: COULD I *MAKE* YOU A *FRIEND* OF MINE? WHY? BECAUSE ONE DAY, I WOULD LIKE TO SEE/VISIT "BARBADOS". *BEFORE* *VISITING* "BARBADOS", I "WOULD LIKE" *ALREADY* TO KNOW A *WONDERFUL* PERSON *LIVING* IN BARBADOS. INCIDENTALLY, JAE, I AM A *FILIPINO*, *RESIDING* IN THE PHILIPPINES. THANK YOU, JAE, *WITH A HEART*. I *HOPE* "TO RECEIVE" YOUR *ANSWER* "THROUGH YOUR POSTING" - JOSH FRANCISCO
I will be traveling to Barbados in August for my 3rd visit in one year. I discovered Barbados last year and hope to visit there every year for the foreseeable future.
Hi Peter, Wow! That’s fantastic! 🤩That’s what happens when you come to 🇧🇧Barbados! ☀️🏝️You just want to keep going back! Let me know if you are back in November to May time, I will have to do a meet up as more people are definitely interested in what we are doing! Enjoy every minute 👌🏾
@@expatbarbados-jaeopheliaHi Jae, you mentioned November to May. Are you not in Barbados now? I try to go every 6 months or so. This time it will be 7 months since I last visited for a short stay this past January.
@@expatbarbados-jaeopheliaThat sounds good. So if I’m vacationing in Barbados again around February or March that means you’ll probably be there. If you’re putting together a meetup I’d love to attend. I plan on meeting up with a couple of RUclips people when I go in just over a month.
In the past I was lucky because my sister and brother in law drive. Now I tend to get the bus mainly and taxis if I am going somewhere dressy. But once you join a community you find people will offer you a lift and you can just contribute to the gas. But it is cheaper if you are coming for a few weeks to hire a car. It’s just more convenient. Hope that helps you.💕🏝️☀️
Let me know in the comments if you have any tips to add to mine! 🥰 Remember your tips can help others in this growing community!❤

Hi Peter, I go for 5-6 months each year for now. I return to U.K. for summer and family, friends, travel etc.

Thank you for watching and commenting too. Yes the beach has become my favourite place! 🥰
Thanks for these tips! During your winter Bird years did you find it better to rent a car or did you catch the bus/taxi to get around?
