TGV: Your pairing of the Hirsch strap with the Seiko is a truly brilliant match. Color, style,...everything. Thank you for your valuable insights and please keep up the entertaining and informative videos.
The Hirsch strap is worth every penny, beautifully done..In my opinion reserved for your most precious timepiece. Thank you as always for your videos, I love your keen eye for watch strap/case pairings!
Another great presentation TGV. I have bought watch straps from Holbens via their Ebay store and have found them to be professional. The item is always sent straight away with online tracking so I can follow where it is. The only down side is that basically it takes ten working days to reach me here in Australia. Regarding watch straps, a recent purchase I made was the Hirch Accent rubber watch strap and it is great, worth every dollar. I will have to check out some of those Bonetto Cinturini vanilla scented watch bands next. Cheers
Really enjoyed this video. I actually steer away from rubber straps, preferring a stainless steel system, but I ordered an Otium watch and it arrived just a few weeks ago. I thought I was going to get sick when I opened the box and looked at the rubber band, but then I picked it up and was amazed. It is soft and flexible. The underside has a slightly raised matrix which allows the wrist to breath and not become all sweaty. When I wear it I don't even know it is on my wrist. Just that comfortable. And that is why your video had me glued to the screen. I could completely relate to what you were explaining about your bands. Thanks for sharing.
I own a Hirsch Robby, and although it's an extremely well-constructed strap, it takes a long time before it's bendy enough to comfortably curve around your wrist. For the first few months of owning one, it left indentations on the side of my wrist even when worn loose. It took a few months for it to soften up and maintain a nice curve. One weird note, you note at 6:40 about the "gorgeous" smell of the rubber. That's a treatment at the factory in Italy to give it a vanilla smell, to mask what would otherwise be a bad odor from the natural rubber.
That Hirsch is really outstanding. Absolutely bellows quality, and aesthetically very pleasing as well. It is pricey, but OTOH investing in a high quality watch and pairing it with a cheesy strap/bracelet never really made sense to me. I suppose one could argue that the strap or bracelet is primarily an accessory to the star of the show, but I think that a well-matched combination can completely alter the character and appeal of the watch in some cases. That specific strap on your Fligthmaster illustrates that in spades - they were made for each other.
I got to love the $100 strap on the 200$ watch. It actually works very well. I was looking at the same strap but in red for my seamaster. Not sure about the rubber though. Might have to go with the leather black and red stitching. Great video as always. There is very relaxing yet very captivating watching you talk about watches.
Just bought the Bonetto 270, it's perfect on my Seiko SRPD79K1 all black. Thank you TGV for the suggestions, Bonetto and Colareb are really fine italian craftmanship.
AWESOME review TGV! Question - could the rubber straps damage my Rolex sub through rubbing? ALSO, in your opinion (for yourself) which of the rubber straps would look best with the Rolex Submariner and in what color? Thanks. Keep up the good work!!
I got a Bonetto for my squale 20 atmos, and it was almost too wide at 20mm. Really had to force it to fit between the lugs, despite being the right size. Made installation and removal a nightmare. Great quality though. Cut it too short (lesson learned), and wound up with the HR equivalent and I'm not complaining. Lower build quality but still adequate and installation was much easier, and being that it's silicone, it turned out to be way more comfortable. Color is also more rich than the Bonetto for some reason.
Rubber and leather do slightly squash into a slightly smaller lug (2mmsmaller max) and work really well strap also stays nice and tight on lugs which to me feels really nice!
TGV, do you run into issues with standard sized rubber straps given your small wrist size? I have roughly the same size wrists and I've stayed away from rubber straps thus far because of the length of straps in general
I was planning on getting the Cinturini this weekend actually! I'm torn between the deployment style and buckle style. Which do you think suits the NBR style better for a stainless diver (SKX series)?
I'm thinking of ordering a watch that comes with the Hirsch Robby. I've been seeing on the internet reviews that the strap is uncomfortable. Now that you've had awhile to test out the strap, do you think it's still comfortable? Thanks man.
I admit that the $107 strap may be good for some people, as it is scratches-resistant, etc... so it can last forever. But the good thing about the resin straps is that they are CHEAP, and one can change them from time to time to give new, non-boring look to the same watch. So isn't it sometimes better to buy $7 straps? If it is scratched or boring, you can replace it by something else a year later...
Hi from France, Thanks for your nice presentation. In addition to this video, I think it should be useful to have your point of view on how to get the perfect color match bet. a watch and its strap. Best regards, ELG
Super late to to the party but caoutchouc is a natural rubber derived from latex. Does that not make it particularly not hypoallergenic. I believe that you can have a potentially dangerous reaction to it if I am not mistaken. Also haven't natural rubbers been superseded in many respects by synthetics. I fear very much that this Hirsch may not be as good as the price would imply. That said I am not expert on the topic so all I said may be wrong. Please correct me if that is the case.
+Marko Keric Go 20mm, 22 will be too big, there will be a tiny bit of extra room but hardly noticeable. Always glad to help a fellow flighty owner, I adore mine, will always have it in my collection. Thank you, Best regards, TGV P.s. New vids up! ;-)
Always select the best rubber that gives you the most pleasure. Remember size does not matter its what your rubber can do for you and your timepiece to create a truly remarkable sensation : ) On a sincere note, I would always go with a Hirsch strap as you always know the quality you are getting.
Awesome channel love it. I'm after a speedy and was wondering what reference is the one you had here? What is the one to have that's more Collectable? I have to say I've seen the showcase back as well like that more... Any help would be appreciated.
I never knew of scented straps until I received my Stowa pilot watch in the mail. It smells of cocoa! Every time I wear it, I get a scent of cocoa that makes me want to inhale deeply!
Daniel Tojcic Hi Daniel, Its the SNA114 "Fightmaster" here is my review, check it out. ruclips.net/video/WRdkMwKTS0o/видео.html Thanks for watching, Best regards, TGV
Has anyone who has used the silicone strap found it to create any friction when rubbing against clothes? As opposed to a G-Shock rubber band which would be more smooth when rubbing against clothes. Thanks.
@@theurbangentry heh didn't know that:) it is bonetto. Can't recommend it smell and feels nice but not reliable at least in my case. Enjoying your older lifestyle videos btw. All the best!
"Hip, hip. . . Pericles, Damocles. . ." I love cheap nylon straps but rubber's a turnoff. Please don't review (and thus further) the metrosexual notion of men wearing Krazy Kamp Kraft bead bracelets alongside their watches.

Extremely kind of you to say.

Rubber straps are rapidly growing on me (I was not a big fan to begin with).
Now I really want an orange rubber strap for the summer!!!
Cool vid!!!

That Hirsh strap on the Flightmaster is in my opinion the best strap for that watch. Great choice!

Thanks TGV, based on your advice I bought Bonetto Cinturini Model 270 and I must say, it's magnificent, it trully is.
The yellow and black strap is beautiful, it works so well with the Seiko!

Hate to lower the tone but 7:50 on-wards sounds like a weird and inappropriate dating advice show.
and when it goes in...you know you got the right hole...omg perfect ...that hole is your size :) you ruined the video for me
Just bought the Bonetto 270, it's perfect on my Seiko SRPD79K1 all black. Thank you TGV for the suggestions, Bonetto and Colareb are really fine italian craftmanship.
Does it have a black PVD buckle?. I have the same watch
I always learn something from each of your videos, thanks for the great work!!
Great video. I'm loving the black and Yellow one. Interesting to see the high end straps on the cheaper watch and vice versa.
Stewart Craig Thanks Stewart, I didn't even think of it like that. Nice one.
Best regards,
TGV
Love that black and yellow strap, spot on.
MrDannyg321 Thank you Danny!
Best regards,

The strap on the Flighty looks amazing. You should change to that.
What type of rubber do Omega use? Examp the ones on the Seamaster 300M & Aqua Terra. Even everest. The rubber just feels more dense and heavy
Would it be possible for you to make a video on the best springbar tools?

Crafter Blue make some incredibly good rubber straps - ÏMO the best but it seems they make exclusively for Seiko watches and only 20/ 22mm available.

TGV can you recommend a shark mesh strap? I know you have an OEM Squale band, but do you have experience with the generic ones on ebay etc?

Hi
I Have omega seamaster 300 41mm
can u suggest me the Hadley-Roma strap size ?
Any of these fit a Submariner without lug/case interference
I own a sinn u1 sde fully tegimented diver watch. What bands would you recomend?
Do you happen to know off hand the mm lug size for the Squale 1521 atmos50? I'm thinking 20mm
hey buddy great review i wanna get hirsch for my flight master should i go with 22 mm instead of 20 mm
+Marko Keric Go 20mm, 22 will be too big, there will be a tiny bit of extra room but hardly noticeable. Always glad to help a fellow flighty owner, I adore mine, will always have it in my collection.

As opposed to a G-Shock rubber band which would be more smooth when rubbing against clothes.
Thanks.
$107 for an aftermarket strap? I almost choked. It looks great on the Seiko Flight Master... but baby Jesus, south of the border... es loco.
LOL Yeah it is kind of crazy but the build quality is AMAZING. Thank you,
Best regards,
TGV
The Urban Gentry Yes, but did I mention the price is crazy?
Would these fit the Breitling Colt chronograph?
Hi, man do a review of the victorinox inox.
The best, thank you
god i wish the aquis didn't have an integrated strap :/
KidWeazel Me too!!!!!! Oh well, it certainly was close to perfection.
Thanks KW,

Holben's long and extra-long straps are limited.
9:21 Do you still think highly of this band?
Hadley-Roma strap is too expensive. You can buy cheaper one from JOYABUY ebay or Amazon shop. The quality is very good too.
A 22 MM hirsch rob by would fit better than 20 MM
"CINTURINI" is not a brand, it's the Italian word for strap! Bonetto is the name of the company!
Indeed it is.
Grazie della sua pazienza e comprensione.

hirsh is best. no vanilla scent. austrian made
caoutchouc just means rubber in french i think though, i could be wrong tho
+Switching Gears Cool, going to have to look that up.
Thank you,

I'm looking for a 14mm & 16mm. Any suggestions ?
Isofrane?
What’s the intro song
cautchoo is the French word for rubber. its not a specific type of rubber per se. I don't believe
It's caoutchouc.
cintorini is crap. It has broken in half after 1-2 years
Sorry to hear that. Which cintorini? It means "strap" in Italian BTW.
Thank you for watching this old video.
Best regards,

@@theurbangentry heh didn't know that:) it is bonetto. Can't recommend it smell and feels nice but not reliable at least in my case. Enjoying your older lifestyle videos btw. All the best!
caoutchouc not "cow-chook". Has nothing to do with cows :D
hello I wanted to hook back up with you I changed my log in to utube.
