Please keep us posted on the nut insert repair. That is a creative way to tackle it
Definitely will do, thanks for checking it out!
Definitely love this change
One day brother ❤
That OEM wing is sick! which wing is this exactly? I believe bmw made 3 wings that all looked very similar?
Thank you! I think you're correct, i cant think of them all of the top of my head at this moment but i do believe that there is this one that i installed, then one that looks similar just without the brake light, then maybe its the low rise ltw? haha
Looks fire
needed this bro 🔥 you’ve been making the car look so dope
Appreciate it!!
My issue stems with my wing wiring... It's cut flush with the body of the wing. I am pretty experienced with small soldering, I don't think it's salvageable as is. I was thinking about using a dremel to cut a hole around the wires, so they are hopefully no longer taught. I don't really understand how the wiring is placed in the wing, but it's frustrating because I know there is extra wire to work with somewhere. Thoughts?
Hmm, that’s a bit tricky, if I were you I’d probably attempt to do what you mentioned and cut a bit into the wing and see if you don’t free up some room to put in some longer wiring, sounds like no matter what it’s going to be a pretty involved job to save that wing and its functionality, so if you’re gonna do it a little, may as well do it all that way in my opinion
However, you may be able to get lucky and just source another one maybe on a Facebook group or OfferUp/ fb marketplace, and I only say that because I “got lucky” and snagged mine for only $100, but then I spent a weekend attempting to repair all 4 bolt holes, so it really comes down to your budget and if it’s worth your time
What size riv-nuts yall use?
I don’t know off the top of my head, I believe there is a clip in that video tho where I show the box that the bolts came in, that thread pitch should be the same for the riv nut 👍🏼
@@Anthony_Bwow awesome! Thank you for the reply, I found em!
