Idk man... Over 1 million produced. That's like, the perfect amount. Not so many to where EVERYONE has one, but enough to where the enthusiast can damn near always find another one to mod/restore. Definitely the best car ever made, without question
@@Karl_Kampfwagen There will be no more car like E36 though... Already advanced enough so it's speed and agility is limited only by money and skills you have. In the same time still easy to work on, with most components being interchangeable between different versions. Anything newer is unnecessarily complicated and have electronics that get in the way.
@oscarlandin2263 How much lol? Here in Germany, I got my E36 last week for 1800€. It had 2 owners which is good considering the age by now. Lots of kilometers but overall in good condition. If you want a good modell in top condition and with something under 150.000 km you will have to pay 20k anything else would be ridiciously overpriced for a used E36.
I really think the E36 is just the perfect sized car. My E46 feels much bigger when I get into it compared to my E36 that just suites me better. Those M3 GTs are just so damned cool, and such a shame we didn't get them in the US. That camera angle from the mini Karossell & the jump section is a nice change up from RUclips corner.
Still the E46 is really compact compared to modern cars, it's really the last 3 series that fits like a nice suit, starting with the E90 they were getting fat and bulky. I think the E36 looks better than the E46 though.
Jetzt schon mein Jahresfavorit deiner Compilations!!! Für mich persönlich sind die E36 M3 (S-Motoren) einfach ein unglaublicher Eargasmus 😍... Btw danke fürs Titelbild! 💪🏼😎
This is what BMW was back in the day. A race car meant for the public. Meant to be beaten around but proved reliability. Nowadays you get sensor with wheels that breaks down everytime
If you like this. If you WANT to do something like this. If you live in California. The Buttonwillow road racing course (3.5 miles long and granted, not as famous) and the Northern California Racing Club are having a track day in October (2022)! The course is great and the guardrails are farther away from the track incase of oopsies. Be prepared to be black-flagged for inspection if you leave the pavement though. GREAT fun!
What i find interesting about the e36. I own an ek civic. compared to the e36 it gives a huge sense of speed. Doing a curve in an ek at 100km/h feels like youre gonna fly off because the front end drags the rear like crazy. ive driven a a lowered 320i sedan on polybushes and the best thing about the platform is the stability at high speeds. Incredibly stable. No wonder they use these things as favourites on the ring.
Hello professionals. I want to buy a BMW E36 and I want to develop it for racing and I want to know what is best for handling and drifting is it a sedan or a coupe ?
They have the same suspension design same wheelbase. The weight is the same on paper, almost exactly the same in reality so that's not a factor either. The sedans are actually more rigid because of the b pillar, so if you're not doing a rollcage it might be benificial to get a sedan, otherwise after you put a rollcage in them sedan or coupe will have same rigidity. Sedans are easier and cheaper to find, important now that you're buying one and will be important if you ever need a new shell after a crash or something like that. Just don't get a compact, they got old e30 rear suspension design, fun because it's tail happy but not super efficient on track, and don't get a touring because they're much heavier.
Lots of variety, non M could have 1.6 or 1.8 single cam 4 cylinders outputing respectively 105 and 116hp, 1.8 4 cylinder twin cam outputting 140hp, then six cylinders 2.0L 150hp, 2.5L 170hp, 2.5L 192hp, 2.8L 192hp , and the M3 models had 3.0 286hp or 3.2 321hp. That's for europe, in the USA they didn't have the 1.6 or 1.8 single cam, also their M3 was different and only made 240hp if I remember correctly because it basically was a 325i engine with more displacement and better cams, compared to the euro engine with more technology and research that would've been too expensive to be competitive in the US market, so they made simpler and cheaper engine so that the US M3 wouldn't be more expensive than the Mustangs, Corvettes or whatever else cars it was competing against. But then there's swaps, lots of e36 going around the ring have the engine from e46 M3, 3.2 with 343hp, basically an evolved version of the e36 m3 engine with more power mod potentials, with a few mods they get up to 370hp, unatainable power with the e36 engine without changing internals or adding forced induction.

It's funny. I never wanted a bmw. Especially the e36. Seemed boring to me.... Then I drove one... Then I brought it. Now I've owned it for 6 years.
Love the E36 platform so much I bought a sedan and a coupe. So practical, easy to work on and rides likes it’s on rails.
That green coupe at 1:05 🤤
