Funny that they make ones with over 1k whp more than this one that went 30-0 against the entire west coast with the cm1600 that it originally got built with and then the owner did the cm2000 and made 2630 whp and a bit above 2k wtq. And one of the races he did with that package was against a 1000 hp 2020 gt500 and he gave it the hit and still gapped it by like 4 cars in like 4 seconds. It did 60-130 in just under 3 seconds and 100-150 in 2.5 Shit is a fuckin street legal rocketship rocketship.
Can we give it up to the hard work those tires on that Viper were doing? You know how hard it is to keep traction with that much power getting laid down. Props to the suspension setup too, it did not look like it was pulling hard at all. Power is easy to make, getting it to the ground is a whole other matter that a lot of people forget.

Not sure if you know much about the gen 5 acr but it set the lap record at the nurburgring for several years with an N/A h pattern 6 speed. Pretty damn impressive in this day and age with porches the way they are with the gt2rs. Boosted F6 and the pdk Trans.
A guy came into one my job with a Viper ACR, and A McLaren 720S. And he a Calvo Motorsports hat, and shirt on. At the time I had no clue what it meant, and thought he was just some rich dude who had no idea what to do with his money. So he spent it on cars, but later on while watching 1320, I then realized. I had gotten blessed.
Tons of them got crashed by people who didn't know how to drive without electronic assistance. I dont even think they had traction control. They changed that over the years though I do believe.

The best cars never sell in bulk. That's why you see shitstangs and corvettes everywhere. Rarely do you see a true supra on the road anymore. Theyre incredibly rarely and their values are sky rocketing exponentially at the moment. That being said, Vipers never had the mainstream appeal because it was over hyped and then didn't perform well off the show room floor. It has always had a cult following, they've always been competitive when designed with an aerokit, and their motors are otherworldly reliable. The rest of the car is a hunk of shit, but the parts that make the power are locked and loaded. The clutch is tough, the motor is tough, the tires are run flat up to 2008, it is a solid ass machine. With a little bit of loving, theyre absolute monsters. Love the viper, has always always always been my favorite car.

The people who could afford them are mature enough to know they will never achieve it's limits safely and most of them just want a weekend cruiser. This is where the Corvette shines. Put it like this if chevy only offered a ZR1 in manual only, the sales would drop and the car would probably get canceled. Same with ford if they only offered a gt500 then again sales would drop. If dodge only offered a hellcat red-eye challenger again sales would drop.. etc. Etc.. Tho there were different trim levels of the viper even the slowest trim was just to much. Plus manual only was a deal breaker for the older generation that could afford it. Most of that generation just want to chill and cruise. I believe the viper would still be around if they simply offered it with an automatic and a 392 V8 as a base trim and convertible/targa options. Get rid off the carbon fiber stuff and lower the price to $50-60k keep the v10 for the higher trims.

However in the video imo me being the only expert on my self, I’m not making excuses, just stating my point of view on conditions/ events so potato patato. However the whole 50-150 thing that most gtrs like to do is hardly a race more like a draggy hit, at least I never turn down or back away from a race.
