    I found a snail attached to the bottom of my front door. I pulled it off and threw it over the fence into next doors garden.
    A year later there's a knock on my front door, I opened it and looked down, there's the same snail again.
    He looked up at me and said:
    "What did you do that for ?"

    6 years and still getting views. I searched specifically as my tank is infested with tiny snails that hump all day long so I bought some assassins.
    This video was one of the grossest things I've seen since 2G 1C 😉😉

    That was way more graphic than I was expecting. Not that it bothered me, I just wasn't expecting that much savagery from a freakin' snail! Totally fascinating... and OUTSTANDINGLY filmed.       Snail over-population problems are usually caused by too much food in the aquarium. Snails reproduce in proportion to their food supply. Reduce the food, eliminate the need for the snail-on-snail violence.

      I just put some of these in my tank. I do not overfeed so the bladder snail and ramshorn are attacking the plants. I have watched them do it with my own eyes. So, assassin nails, do your work!

      @@elibell19 snails usually don't attack healthy plants... You can easily build a trap with a little bottle , there are many tuto here , then you can froze them To kill them in a less painful way possible ...

      You're welcome. I love snails, almost as much as fish!
      It was a difficult thing to watch and film. But, most people had no idea that this kind of brutality was happening. I have had many people tell me that after watching the video, they will never get Assassin snails for their tank. . . By the way, my mystery snail video is awful, I used some wild-caught snails and they were in poor condition. I hope to make re-make it soon. It will be epic !!! :-)

    I had a dead rasbora in my tank yesterday. I filmed my assassin finding it, then manoeuvring it so it could go in through it's mouth! I filmed it in time lapse and you could actually see the rasp, deep inside the fish. It was eaten from the inside out. Grotesque but fascinating. They are really quite amazing creatures

      They really are amazing yet disturbing creatures! They don't have very strong mouthparts, so when they start feeding, they typically go for the softest spot that they can find. On a fish that's through the mouth or behind the gill cover. And this is the reason they can't attack and eat animals with hard shells like shrimp.     Brutal. I am surprised to learn that they don't possess any harpoons, or toxins, like the cone snails. I had just assumed they did. Didn't know that ramshorns had haemoglobin either.

      They do secrete digestive enzymes that help liquify their prey. So, there's always that nightmare! They used to be considered a close relative of the cone snails (Conidae) , but taxonomists now realize that they're more closely related to mud snails (Nassariidae).
