Always loved the Navajo Chieftain 👍 Seemed nice and quiet inside compared to other twins. I was blessed to fly my mom in an Aztec turbo F model, and my Dad in a Bell 206L Long Ranger. Thank you Mom & Dad for inspiration to achieve my dream of flying 👍🇺🇸
Boa noite !!!! Nunca me canso de assistir esse vídeo. Aeronave fantástica, lindo demais. Muito obrigado pelo vídeo e parabéns pelo canal. Abraço do Brasil.........
Lovely one THDA! The wind was not a problem for the audio and the chatting in the background added atmosphere. Nice to see the passenger waving to you or perhaps she was waving to those chatting in the background. Awesome catch.
Probably the best all around cabin class piston twin ever built, I really wish somebody would do an STC conversion on the Chieftain, installing a pair of the new Lycoming turbocharged 580 engines, that would probably improve on a good thing.
Is it me or does it have a livery similar to Avro Arrow 201? That's the first thing that jumped out at me when I saw the vertical stabilizer from the side view. If so, excellent choice by Sunwest!
Nice Jesse, looks like the runway has had quite a bit of patch work, when he was backtracking, do you know if he veered/swerved to avoid a pothole or just maybe got sidetracked for a moment, lol, hope it was not a pothole
I'm not 100% sure, I think they might have just been getting ready for the turn at the end of the runway. There are definitely a few dips and a lot of patches on the runway at CZNL. Makes for some good splashes when it's really wet out.
Probably the best cabin class piston twin ever built. I have personally seen several engine failures on Navajo's with only one accident. Try that with a Cessna Caravan or PC 12.
@@coriscotupi Never a truer word spoken Try an engine failure on take off in high density hot temp and heavy loaded Ive had 1 and it was a handful Luckily it happened as the gear was going up I managed to climb out and do a reversal turn back on to the runway There was no way i could have flown a circuit
Years ago in my light twin days i worked for a freight company that operated both chieftain and baron aircraft We used to meet in the crew preflight to draw straws on aircraft alocation The short straws got the chieftains The chieftain was like driving a bus compared to the baron As i advanced later onto small turbo props it was the same thing between thee metro 23 and the kingair The metro was a dog and the kingair was a lovely aircraft to fly
throwing at least 3 video cards per segment in addition to the next video options seems a bit hard sell, no? I would like to watch the videos not the ads 😢

Great one as usual, had to stop my work day. No worries about the talking, the kid was cute and interested, and OUTSIDE!
So true, it's always great to see kids getting some outdoor time, and even better doing a bit of plane spotting :-D

Very beautiful video of this nice Piper Chieftain!!
Thanks a lot!
Wow just seeing that plane shake as it spools up, pure raw power. Great catch!
I bet these twin piston aircraft are a lot of fun to fly. Thanks a lot!
Another excellent Piper video. The twin props have a very raw sound.
Thanks very much!

Thanks very much Steve, I love the livery on this one as well.
Such a breathtaking angle!! Loved it mate!
Thanks very much!
Liked the enthusiastic kid in the background.
Ya, that was nice to see a kid enjoying the plane too!
@@TheHDAviation Yep.
Great video! Beautiful Piper Navajo! Liked!!!
Thanks very much!
That was awesome I had to watch it takeoff twice and no apologies necessary I'm just glad people are excited to watch :)
Thanks Ed! It is always nice to see other people out enjoying some plane action :-)
Great catch! I love the sound of the mighty Chieftain!
Thanks a lot!
Super super awesome work! Head one is always amazing :)
Thanks so much!
Fantastic footage of that Piper Chieftain! Liked a lot!
Thanks!
What a beautiful plane
Sure
An excellent take off.
Cool. I especially like the Chieftain with its counter-rotating engines. There's one on my home airfield as well, but I rarely see it fly.
I really like the Chieftain as well, and luckily this one passes through CZNL quite often. Thanks for watching!

Thanks very much, this nice Chieftain was great to see.
You are welcome THDA.
Interesting colour scheme such a very cute little aircraft to :) and ofcourse your filming is perfect thanks again
Thanks so much, I really appreciate it!
Great capture as usual!!

There is a version of the chieftain produced by Embraer called Carajá. It uses a pair of PT-6 engines. Look it up, it's so cool!
Nice video from Nelson!!! Cool view, very unusual:D
Thanks very much!
Stunning
Thanks for watching!

It does look very similar to the livery on the Avro Arrow, it definitely has the vintage RCAF rondel.
@@TheHDAviation That's the first thing that jumped out at me.

Thanks!
Excelente avión...
very nice catch!! any idea why the RCAF roundels on the tail??
Thanks a lot. I have no idea, but I sure like the look of the livery on this Chieftain!
Hey, didn't I just see him land? Whatever happened to the great view?
Haha yup, this is the same one :-)
Nice! the gear almost seems to spring up rather than feed.
I really like seeing the gear retract on the Chieftain as well, pretty cool mechanism!
Good ole piper Chieftain, the main stay for lots of Alaskan Air Taxi operators.
Love the Chieftain, one of my favourite visitors to CZNL.

Navajo o melhor avião com motor a pistão

PC 12 has the best safety stats in its class and far better then these old wrecks like the Navajo. You get what you pay for.
Check the accident and safety record on the Cessna Caravan in Alaska and get back with me.
You know the saying - in the event of an engine failure, a piston twin will safely take you all the way to the accident site.

Owned by Sunwest Aviation Ltd. of Calgary, AB.
This one is a beauty. Looks very well maintained and I love the livery on it!
What kind of tripod do you use? Your pans are always extremely smooth.
I actually don't use one, they're all handheld.
Does no one clean the runway? FOD city!
Not very often from the looks of it, the geese really do make a mess.
