- I recently got a request for more "normal people" non-celebrity contestant clips, so here goes! From December 14, 1952...she's a petite but full-figured cutie-pie, and one of Hal Block's questions is worthy of lotsa laffs.

Would this ever be applied to a person's face? PRICELESS!!!
"Oh, I have a weenie" (6:25). You got to love Dorothy for that.
Hal Block: Could this be applied to me? (yes, it would definitely knock your "block" off) :)
"Might this ever be applied to a person's face?"
yes, i do love the non-celebrity contestants :) great, thanks for this!
Such a hoot! Brilliant!
This was really good. Thank you.
This was a good one
Thank you so much!!
I wonder sometimes how Mr. Daly is almost always able to pronounce those last names on the first try. I think I've only ever seen him mess up once - and afterward none of the panel members were able to pronounce it either.
he mentions a couple times talking to the contestants before the show started so I assume he asked them how to pronounce it
pylbetajv Yes, once a guest (Seiji Ozawa) wrote his name in Japanese and Daly still said it
Dorothy Kilgallen was also a well known journalist who was mysteriously murdered during her time on this show. She had apparently solved the mystery of John F. Kennedy’s murder and was murdered to keep her quiet. It is a very sad, but interesting story.
There's no proof it was murder.
The Bronx ?
Everlast .
John really enjoyed ragging Block.

Indeed and yet he thought of himself as well mannered and polished....
John Daly is subtly mobbing Hal Block. Not very nice.
