I've known about "Inbox Zero" for some time, and I aspire to it, but have not reached it. Your video tips have encouraged me to re-commit myself to that end. Here I go!

The Chuck app easily sorts by sender. You can easily delete all, or pluck out the ones you still want. Check it out!
Hi Steve, I am so grateful for your regular videos and really appreciate the new 'ask Dottotech' programmes - thanks. Since you recently introduced us to Slack I have been thinking of trying it out with my team. But now I've stumbled across Zula. As my colleagues have never heard of or used either before I wondered if you could give us a Slack v Zula video (a bit like some of your excellent Dropbox v Google drive videos) to help me decide which one we should try. Someone asked the other day about putting Google Calendar on the desktop. I opened up my calendar, went to the dot stack at the end of the toolbar, more tools, and add to desktop. then I pinned it to my taskbar. Maybe this will help someone!

I am still surprised that Inbox by Google hasn't really taken off. It doesn't delete the email, but instead archives the email, which wouldn't help this user, but it has still helped me stay in top of my email so much more effectively. I almost never go to the actual Gmail page anymore, instead opting for the Inbox page on my phone or desktop.
+Steve May Google Inbox does delete emails, but you have to choose that action in settings. By default it marks emails as "Done" which archives them.
***** I guess I didn't know that. I like that it just archives them with the current settings that I use, which then allows me to periodically delete the ones that I know I will not need again.

Hi, I often find good info from your channel. To find big mail (often big attachments) I use a filter in gmail, has attachment >5M for example. Then I don't need an external service to browse through my mails. For me it's most often attachments that steal the space.

Hi Steve, sometimes after I delete emails, spams they show up again in my inbox. How do I deal with that. Could it be that The emails must be deleted from the webpage email (Google ) to be permanent?
Re: Gmail archive and Iphone
Is the huge Gmail archive consuming memory on my Iphone? Have now turned off the option to Archive. Aren't gmails moved to trash saved for a very long time, depending on usage of course? How do I delete the 500+ archived e-mails that I thought I was deleting by swiping?

where can I send a question without taking up comment space?
Question: I used your cleanup techniques and they work very well for me. The only thing still messy is my "Sent" box. When I sent emails I was too generic in listing the subject. Instead of a subject like "Information and resume you requested", it would have been better to have listed "Information and resume you requested - Acme Corp." That way I could identify more easily what the sent message was about and who it was addressed to. There are many youtube videos on how to edit a subject line in a reply, but not on how to edit it in a "Inbox" or "Sent" email. Can it be done?

+Peter Sacréas That should not be happening, if you get ones you have not asked for you can report them as spam.

Steve I have been using 2 emails one yahoo and another one is gmail now I want to stop using yahoo email (due to yahoo's website), and both of my email id have same starters ie xyz@gmail.com & xyz@yahoo.com now is there any way to solve the problem, or will I have to dissolve my yahoo id into the ocean of unused user id's.
I can't get pornographic messages OUT OF MY EMAIL and advertising for it , some actually have videos that are REALLY GRAPHIC and I AM NOT ABLE TO STOP THEM! HOW, UNSUBSCRIBE isn't working... Don't know how I am subscribed in the first place!

Question about Evernote search: Is there a way to search for notes that contain a (internal) link to a specific note?
Thanx for another great video. The only thing I don't get to work is forwarding email to a specific Notebook in Evernote. I use the @(Notebook) but it still comes into my inbox. I know it's probably me but I can't find the answer.
Use your Evernote email account to subscribe if you want the email only in Evernote. I use Gmail filters to forward , there is an option to keep a copy that needs to be unchecked.

but but but, I almost had a heart attack when I went to delete my trash and it took everything it was connected to in my inbox! How do I avoid that? It caused me so much more work and almost killed me! :(

How do I share phots from my google pphotos to the web on a membership forum?
+Neal Feikema I guess it depends on the membership form and how they handle photos. But every photo has share options within Google photos.
+dottotech They give this advise... you must link to an image stored on a publicly accessible web server,
e.g. www.example.com/my-picture.gif. You cannot link to pictures
stored on your own PC (unless it is a publicly accessible server) nor
images stored behind authentication mechanisms, e.g. hotmail or yahoo
mailboxes, password protected sites, etc. To display the image use the
BBCode [img] tag.
