It's insane the volume and nuances she's capable of to contain and imitate a character, what a woman.

For those who are complaining, this is not a biopic, but even though this is not a biopic I feel like she did a lot of justice to the character who in this case is not Bob Dylan himself, a persona named Jude, and yet I feel that it is a better representation of Dylan than any attempt at biopic we will have in the future.

She's hands down the best incarnation of Bob Dylan on film ever. Having seen a decent bit of old footage of Dylan interviews I was thunderstruck at times how she perfectly nails it.

People commenting here who have not watched the film. You obviously don’t get it. It’s not a biopic. Dylan is played by multiple actors throughout the film. It’s a great film. Give it a watch before judging it.

each part is good and disticnt in there own way but my favorite is Richard greere billy the kid section, which is also another myth since he looks older it plays into the myth that billy supposedly survived after his death. also has very powerful imagery and, all the dylans collide which gets trippy/meta

if you see the comparison you see its a really cheesy attempt at Dylan.
I couldn't really get through the movie without feeling discomfort. It's not the actors by the way, i love each and every one of them
It just didn't work for me. There was no spark like in 'Control' for instance. I felt completely detached from the movie and it just seemed like a lame copy that didn't feel real or added any substance.

Dylan has a very masculine voice but Blanchett did not change her voice. I don't see the point of this film, the original clips are much more interesting. You can't do better than the real thing, Dylan is unique. Many famous people have been portrayed well in film, but it will be impossible to copy Dylan. 🎼😎❤️

I’m sorry but as soon as she speaks all I hear is Cate Blanchett and not Dylan. No, I’m not sexist and I’m not saying she didn’t do a fantastic job of portraying Dylan. All I’m saying is that she still sounds like a woman, and that ruins the illusion for me. I’m glad others like it, though. She obviously has some balls to agree to play this part, no pun intended, and she is an amazing actress
