    That is my kind of place. I could eat there every day. The price was very very reasonable for all that magnificent seafood. I love the sea urchin, the caviar of the sea. Those sea grapes looked great. Everything was special. I definitely will go there. Thank you for the great video. The old Tsukiji market is long gone.

    Thank you so much for your videos! It will be very helpful when my family visits Japan in July.
    One piece of advice…let’s say something is 1800 yen which is approximately $12.97. Instead of saying it is “12 point 97 dollars”, it is more appropriate to say it costs around “12 dollars and 97 cents”.
    Thank you again for all your hard work!

    We had a seafood grill like that in Fukuoka and very much enjoyed it. Often, we (but also Japanese people) didnt know what to do, or if a dish was already cooked enough, and a friendly waitress came to help us. Which was not a problem at all, even with us not speaking any japanese at all. It was a great dinner, and as always, we felt so welcome and taken good care of. I really very much appreciate how Japanese people treat foreigners in Japan. We probably often do many things wrong. And still, you are so kind to us.

      Wow thank you for the great hear warming message!! Shop worker must be so proud of your message too! Japanese people tend to give brilliant experience to customers, we call it OMOTENASHI and customers sometimes got impressed so much for that support or services. The feeling is OMOTENASHI is Japanese honorable service I think.
      Anyway, I so glad you had wonderful experience in Fukuoka!!

    Question from my 9 year old kid- when you say itadakimasu do you have to put your hands together? Why do you put your hands together? Thanks Inok!

    • @foodinjapan2256
      @foodinjapan2256  8 месяцев назад +1

      This is a traditional gratitude action in Japan. We pray with full of thanks and respect for the life and everything else to be part of ourselves for having as meals and when we pray, we normally put hands together that's why when we do Itadakimasu, we put hands together. Itadakimasu is really hard to translate into other languages but it means "Thank for meals".

      This is very difficult question. This is really popular shop so around 7pm would be busy at any shops. around 530pm would be relatively vacant I guess. It depends on time I think.
