    Thanks for another great video, Inok. Sometimes, tourists like me don’t mind the higher prices in Tsukiji, because the seafood and other food there would be a lot more expensive back in the countries that we live in. 😅
    Also, the seafood especially, is fresher or is better quality than back in our home countries. But yes, the prices do seem higher in Tsukiji than elsewhere in Tokyo. We even went back to some of the same restaurants we went to before in different years and there are now bigger price increases. Still, Tsukiji is a lot of fun to explore. Hope you can show more shops in Tsukiji. Maybe some more places hidden upstairs or lesser known restaurants?

    • @foodinjapan2256
      @foodinjapan2256  Год назад +3

      I see as you said Tsukiji is expensive but it's still cheaper than other countries. That totally makes sense but in local Japanese people opinion, it's too much😰
      I got your request! I'll explore Tsukiji and share great food!!!

    • @HotInTheCity
      @HotInTheCity Год назад +1

      Also, it’s easy for tourists to try so many different kinds of foods in one area. Instead of going all over Tokyo in one day. And you can graze or snack on different smaller sized portions of food and share them with your family or friends. Then keep buying more foods to try.😋Tsukiji is especially good for first time visitors, because it is tourist friendly and easy to order food. So casual and we can eat on the street and not worry too much. It is such a unique place. But yes, overpriced for the locals. By the way, are there good restaurants to take children to? Or bigger groups, like more than 4 people? I know a lot of restaurants in Tokyo are meant for smaller groups. So maybe sometimes it’s challenging for the tourists to find good places which will accept them.

    Thank you for the very good video. I was last in Tsukiji this march, and for me, its gotten too touristy. At almost all the stalls/shops that looked good, people were queuing. For example, I really like Tamagoyaki, but waiting in line for at least 30 minutes for a piece of it on a stick, seemed too much for me. I got oyster, wagyu with uni and a tuna kaisendon without queuing, which was good. But overall, too many people, and I dont know if I will return there (I will certainly return to Tokyo).

    Lovely video. In personally find that Tsukiji is too crowded with tourists and prices reflect that.
    Last time i went there was a good couple years ago when the market was still there. Walking around the market after the morning auctions ended was a great experience.

We only found out once we got there that they don't let the public in so early :D Now I also live in Japan, but must admit I have not been there in ages. and Pssst don't tell anyone but I actually can't eat most fish :D:D

      I don't go travel spot so often except for filming. Japanese people know more reasonable and local restaurants or local Japanese chains but those are not really good for youtube videos.... so local people (including myself) tend to visit more reasonable restaurants or restaurants that are close to home I guess.
