Had a lot of fun in Rehoboth in the old days. Can still manage a couple of days' vacation, but that's it. Thanks!

I used to visit Rehoboth every year for quite a few years, but haven't been there in a while. I need to go back, I really do miss it.
I should ask Joe B if he'd mind if I stayed at his place, since he may not be in it when I'm down there.
I'll even leave him some Grotto Pizza and some Dolle's Taffy if he'd like. 😄

You could be sitting on RT1 for 30+ minutes, if you are heading into Rehoboth. Lived at the beaches for 20 years, it was fun but glad I got out. I'll be back for brief visits though. :)

Summer traffic can certainly be a bear - particularly on Friday & Saturdays

When my kids were little we use to go there, great memories… it has become too pricy …

Prices have certainly gone up, especially since Hurricane Sandy took out a good portion of the Jersey Shore & many of those folks began coming to Delaware instead

I purchased back in 95 inland. Retired in 2004. Couldn't do it today with the cost of Real Estate.

Is Dewey Beach pretty much considered to be a part of RB? I know they are walking distance from each other.

    • @MattLunden

They share the same zip code, but are very different in terms of housing, things to do, etc.

Can you answer this question for me, how is it as far as hospitals major hospitals in Rehobeth beach. I have a major auto immune disease and I need to have access to a major hospital in Rehobeth. I live in the Philadelphia area and I go to University Of Pennsylvania for my health care. I need a hospital like that.

In all honesty, we don’t have something as prominent as Penn here. However, we have Beebe medical which has a multitude of offices throughout the area & their main ER in Lewes.
We also have BayHealth which is rapidly expanding with offices again throughout the area.

    What about schools

Hey! I’m limited in what I can discuss with schools due to fair housing regulations, I’d advise you to check out niche.com or greatschools.org

But depending on where you stay there on vacay everything is usually in walking distance. We stay at the Oceanus motel 2 blocks from the beach. We leave our car parked all week and just walk everywhere at our leisure. And we’re not young. We love it there. I’m in Md but haven’t been to Ocean City in years. I am going to Myrtle Beach next week. It is beautiful with palm trees and warm ocean water. It has no boardwLk. You have too drive to the shops. But they have a Ripleys aquarium that is awesome. We drove down to Murrels inlet from there and took a mini cruise of the shoreline and saw lots of dolphins pelicans and shore birds etc. You could learn scuba diving and other water sports. They have a funland too.
