I've had this amp for years and never knew this.
To erase the tone turn off your amp, next press on in Exit button and stay your finger there, and turn your amp On. Stay with your finger until the led stops flashing. I'm sorry for my English

@@ayemod2k so first have your amp off. Then, hold your finger on the exit button as you turn on your amp. Finally, you will see that the light is activated on the exit and save button but ONLY let go of the exit button once the light turns off.

I've got the Mustang 2 v2. Once ya fool with it a while, you'll like it! I have a Champion 20 too! The Champs are a little simpler! Both are good!
Roy Koch has the champ got the same effects as the chap 40 ? An are the effects as good on the mustang as they are on the champ , I’m looking at getting over one but not to sure yet , am looking to get the Dave Gilmore sound , can you help please ?

I scored one of these for 29.99 plus shipping. I haven’t been playing too long but I do notice some little differences with the sound. For 29.99 though it’s amazing lol.
Maybe it's the mustang 1 which is smaller? If you got a mustang Ii that was a steal lol
Pedro Silva yeah the mustang V1.0 has a smaller speaker than the 2.0, the 1.0 has a 1x8” speaker which doesn’t sound as good as the 2.0’s 1x12”. Plus the 2.0 has a higher wattage than the 1.0
I’ve used one of these in a guitar store and loved how it sounds but it was so confusing I couldn’t even change it to clean lol

Sebastian Chew I saw another comment saying that when you do that you can only control the master volume. To change it to clean I just use the first preset and turn off all mod and delay and turn the gain all the way down, I’m not sure if that’s true clean tone but it’s clean enough for me lol
Yeah, this amp you have to turn off all FX and stick to the clean Fender amp models or whatever, and turn the gain almost off, and you can play kind of clean.
Really it's even more ideal for blues, rock, and reverby jazz playing, and lead, but you can get some clean out of it. I have the Mustang 1 and I love it, it's a wonderful
amp, and I love having the tuner built-in as well. I haven't even used it via the PC yet.
Scott Briggs having the tuner is so great cause I’m too lazy to get a tuner usually. You should definitely try it with the app cause it’s very fun to mess with all the effects

Too complicated, I just use the clean (hold tap button as you turn it on) then used my pedals 🤘

Good luck using the editor library does not work with windows 10 been in contact with fender for over six months all they say is they have team working on be careful when buying anything fender with computer software
You could always run a virtual machine, www.virtualbox.org/ for instance, and use another OS that does work. It's not too hard. Or maybe it does work now, I've never bothered cause I prefer acoustic.
How did you manage to contact them? when I try their contact page on the website its disabled so its impossible to actually send any message.
Works fine on win10 till td. All you need to set compability mode (win 8).
"remuda" on android app store will let you mess with the presets on your phone! And lets you edit the amp, to an extent cause its a third party app made by someone that had the same problem, fender took there editor library down for the m1 years ago :(

Just came across this amp at a thrift store. Got it for $60. Not sure if it was a good deal or not, but I'm happy with it so far. I didnt realize how complicated it was though lol does anyone know how to factory reset it? The previous owner set every single setting to very high distortion lol
At 4:30 he talks about saving a preset. After you hit the Save button the first time it says to toggle the preset knob to decide whether you want to save it in the Red or Green bank, then you hit Save button again to save the preset. Question; if I'm setting up in Green and decide to save it. I hit the Save button, do you have to toggle the Preset knob, or can you just hit Save again if you want to stay in Green?
I press safe and i dont get the original sound back from the 3e light in the greens

i agree. mine gets messy with delays... lets say its a 8 note riff and by the 5th it has like "resetted" the effect... its weird

If you focus on the bridge you can see that she actually has strings. they are just very thin and are blending with the guitar

Does anyone know how (or if) you can reset a preset to its default settings? I've changed a lot of mine but only use a couple. I'd like to reset the ones I dont use if possible, whilst keeping the ones i do like
You hold the exit button I believe when you turn it on hold it until it stops flashing then the presets are rest if it’s not the exit button it’s one of them you’ll notice when you do it right it will flask turning on
The factory presets can't be erased, but you have many preset banks for your own modified ones.

Kenneth Borrett - Yes, Fender has an online community which you can share settings. In downloadable files. This is a great amp. I'm a bass player, but had one of these. I played on this for hours. Wish these woulda been around when I was a kid. Instead of the Fender Champ I got.

It doesn't have to be complicated. Choose which amp model you want and run it like a normal amp, using the actual knobs.

i have transformer 100w max, that gives my guitar some buzz when i increase the volume.the mustang is 70w.

Hello Sir, I'm a bedroom player, is Mustang III louder than Mustang II,can i use Mustang III in my bedroom I can't decide between Mustang II or Mustang III. Can you help me? the sound quality of the mustang 3 is good at low volume?
They're both solid state so you won't have any problems playing them at low volumes. That being said, the mustang 3 will obviously be louder when cranked.

I got a 3 and never play it at a high volume. That being said II is 50 watt and 3 is 100 watt i believe

Anyone knows what the top left LED is indicating ? It changes when I rotate the preset button. I it can be red green or off depending on the preset. Thank you !
If you have a fender foot pedal, you can switch between 2 presets (red and green)
It's a great amp, which was one the largest Fender amp sellers of all time. The problem is, that Fender, in order to sell newer amps after the Mustangs, decided to pull Fender Fuse off of their website , so customers would be forced to buy Fender's newer models...which aren't as good...IMHO. That's lousy customer service and loyalty.

I don't get it... starting @ 3:10 - to about 3:50 a "cool trick" is described and the MOD - DLY/REV is being actuated... some fine tuning is breezed over and I wish this point was developed further... any chance of that happening?

Look carefully when paused.... It's a bound neck on a Jazzmaster produced in 1965.. ofcourse the decal is gonna be less crisp compared to brand new.. The logo on Jazzmaster had that little swirl before the Fender.. Dust is not a factor in this matter... age is :)

It's so straight forward.

I play Bass at times. Can I use this for Bass?
Never! Never ever plug any bass into a guitar amp unless it’s a specific multi use amp. If you do plug your bass into this amp IT WILL BLOW UP! (Not literally but the amp will be destroyed)
It's not good for the speaker if you turn it up loud, but not a problem at low volume for home practicing.
i have a question, if i change one of the presets in the banks , can i reset it to the factory preset later on ?
VERY good question. Needs a "master reset" as I got this one second-hand and judging by the skulls on the guitar strap (and the noises I've extracted so far), I think kiddo may have metaled up the whole of 24!
Later on I find that there are un-adulterated presets if you twist the knobs in such a way as to light up the lights when ...blah blah blah. fuck
it's way less complicated if you plug it into a computer and use the Fender Fuse application

Rahul Anand what are you talking about? I have it on my pc! Fender stopped supporting it (meaning it won’t get updated anymore), but it’s still available for download.
@@rahulmishra8452 That sucks. I never used that software but that's absurd. I would consider getting a Line6, or a new Blackstar mini-amp, or something like that,
or a Vox modeling amp, which you cannot go wrong with.

I have had this amp for quite a while now and never could figure out what the software you are talking about is. Do I just plug in my amp to my laptop or do I have to download something? It is a wonderful amp!!!
+Damion Shafer you download & install the free FUSE software from Fender's website FIRST, then plug in the USB cable & start the Fuse program and it will 'see' your amp. Here ya go: fuse.fender.com/

@@wozwalld If you have guitar with humbuckers, just switch to the twin reverb and turn the gain to 10, you will hear slight distortion, or switch to the 90s and play with the gain until you achieve the sound you want(you can start from 1 and slightly build up until you achieve the sound you want)
Does anyone know how to fix amp buzz with a method that doesn't involve opening the amp? I don't want to mess it up.

It's probably a grounding problem with your guitar or guitar cord.
Does anyone know if I can use a looper in this amp but keep the loop tone clean and play with distortion over the top without changing the tone of the loop ?

Holy shit Batmans, I got this with a little gitty I picked up yesterday and tried playing through it. Could NOT find a clean tone. And now I get the rest of the story, I think. 24 huh. Geez. Thankfully I can relax to my EL84's when I get done monkeying with this thing...
So I finally plugged into this little "marvel" again. Shit--could it be more obtuse? Such a fildipity "system" of lights and knobs with no "set" settings. SUCH a pain in the ASS, glad it was uber super cheap (came with gitty I'm rebuilding). Of course the "first generation" of anything is usually rushed to market and crappy as hell and leads to revisions upon revisions. Maybe I should plug it in to the PC --is this open source?!!

My amp is making a buzzing/static noise & it doesn’t work when I plug my guitar in. I thought it was the cord connecting them but I bought a new one & it still doesn’t work. Has anyone had the same problem?
I had a similar problem but what I did was take the straight end of the cable and plugged it in to the amp, and took the angled end of the cable and plugged it in to the guitar.

Yeah but it doesn't sound good. I'm selling mine asap for a Mustang iii V2. The speakers used just aren't quality enough for rock/metal, but they handle clean tones well.
