Website link is pinned in the comment section. If you are only interested in the forest ride in ksrtc bus you don’t need an e pass, but you won’t be able to get down in Gavi. E pass is required only if you are travelling by your own car or tourist vehicles (they are also not allowed for the activities in Gavi with out the online booking for packages & no offline booking facility is available). If you are planning for a bus ride, start your journey from Kumily in the 1st bus which departs Kumily KSRTC Depot at 530 AM (Kumily to Pathanamthitta through Gavi). The chances of wildlife sightings is more if you start from Kumily rather than from pathanamthitta because you’ll be in the forest by around 630 in the morning if you opt this bus. This timing improves the chances of wild life sightings.

The 630 bus will reach Gavi by 11:30-12 and for your journey back to Pathanamthitta two buses are there from Kumily towards Pathanamthitta, they will reach Gavi at 130 and 230 respectively in the afternoon. If you wish to go towards Thekkady you can take the last bus towards Kumily which will reach Gavi around 245 in the afternoon.
No bus charge is not included, you’ll get return bus to Pathanamthitta at 130 & 230 pm and towards Kumily around 345 pm. If you are planning for a day trip try to reach Gavi from Kumily as it is near to Gavi and you can enjoy the day without a rush. Buses will start from Kumily to Gavi at 530 & 630 AM.

Hi bro, it’s safe to say in tent as the compound is fenced with electric fence. From Kumily it will take about 1 hr 30 minutes to reach Gavi. If you take the 1st bus from Kumily at 5:30 you can see a lot of elephants & bisons on the way itself. Your package will end next day by 11Am. You can have lunch from there (if you wish to stay a bit longer) on payment basis on the next day if you inform the galley section through your guide. Hi bro, it’s safe to say in tent as the compound is fenced with electric fence. From Kumily it will take about 1 hr 30 minutes to reach Gavi. If you take the 1st bus from Kumily at 5:30 you can see a lot of elephants & bisons on the way itself. Your package will end next day by 11Am. You can have lunch from there (if you wish to stay a bit longer) on payment basis on the next day if you inform the galley section through your guide. Return bus timings to Kumily are as follows 1130, 1230 & 0345PM
