- Thanks for stopping in to see me finally get back to work on the Italeri S-100 Schnellboot in 1/35 scale. My build represents S-204 'Lang' as she appeared in 1945. Today I'll go through what I already have done as well as reviewing the aftermarket I've collected for this build. By the end of this episode of Get Off My Bench we'll complete the detail work on the area forward of the bridge. Be sure to let me know in the comments if you spot anything I need to fix along the way.

Mister G that mottled deck effect looks beautiful, you really know your stuff! Will you make a second Schnell boat for radio control? I have a suggestion for making that coiled rope look more authentic, what if you glued the coils together first, then put clear epoxy on the underneath, then sand the epoxy on a piece of glass or other flat surface?
@@robertmaybeth3434 thanks very much- honestly I've barely got enough room for one of these boats. Thanks for the suggestions about the ropes- at some point I'll return to this build and actually finish it. Thank you for watching.
You got a bigger boat. Impressed on the size of this model. Wooden decking and turned barrels in this scale are always impressive
The wood decking gives the kit a subtle lift a does the metal barrels. Thanks for watching!
Gas Patch products all seem very nice. They are always the first place I try to source aftermarket stuff. You have the kit looking great so far.
Thanks very much! I'm very happy with it so far. The Gaspatch guns look incredible!
Nice video. Good to see such a cool looking boat getting built. 👍🏻😉
Thank you very much Rich!
Hi John, good luck with this rehashed project, I'm certain it will turn out perfectly, good luck mate, very best regards to you and your family and friends, keep safe and well. If I had time I would love to do a battleship.
Hi Les! Thanks very much for the good words - hoping everything is well with you and yours also! Once I finish this one I have a couple of carriers in line. Regards from Texas!
Thanks for the video interesting
Glad you liked it!
I got the boat 4 years ago still not finished I changed the twin 2cm and the rear cannon for vlakvierling.
It's been one of those projects that once I actually work on it then I really enjoy it. I guess it comes in waves of inspiration. I appreciate you watching!
Just a comment for the algorithm.
Always great when someone "gets it". Thanks!
Lead wire twisted around itself for the coiled rope?...May do the trick ie twist small gauge around itself for the rope then once done coil on the deck
That's a great idea! I'm going to see if I can get some thin lead wire this weekend and give it a try.
@@MisterGsWorkbench John you may consider two -3 strands of lead wire and place in hand drill on very low speed to get the uniformity you're after...anyway good luck from OZ
Whyyyyyyy music. Sigh
You know what they say - you can't please everyone. I appreciate you watching!
The bow MG/FF from Italery is a 90% FAKE !
Yes, the forward mount is wrong and the gun isn't very accurate. The Lion Roar detail set helps to correct some of the gun details but the mount really needs a rebuild.
@@MisterGsWorkbench i have the exclusive foto the very strip original ring of this mount...
