Isaac kinda looks like a scared puppy here, you can see he doesn't feel comfortable. I just hope he will get better, and I hope one day he can return to BCNR.
as someone who is a little autistic I think he might be a little autistic. I see him do a lot of the same stuff I do in day to day life in interviews. I could be wrong but just a guess.
@@sjoerdverweij105 I feel bad how hard I laughed at that. I was so enthralled with the conversations through the whole video and then it cut to him doing the worst hoverhand of all time on Kim Gordon right as the video ends lmao
great point i think a lot of people never consider when creating art. sometimes things can gain significance and new meaning later on as the artists themselves evolve, even if it wasn’t initially intended.

to be fair; if I had this horrifically awkward faux intellectual gentrified tate modern ass experience because of music I made, and knew that there was more of it round the corner, i'd probably pack it in too lmao
The way this interview is set up just feels so awkward. Like you can clearly tell Isaac isn't very comfortable here. Whether that's because he was still very fresh into mainstream stardom or whatever. It's still just such an awkward interview .
not to drag the interviewer too much, but she didn’t really suit the group very well as a whole, just a few too many awkward propositions and comments which left the others struggling to answer at times
i think part of what makes this interview seem "awkward" is that the seats aren't even facing the audience? It's not immediately obvious but as soon as I saw it I just imagined being in the crowd and only seeing backs of chairs😭
The whole format and set design is comically out of step with what these four artists are all about... looks more like Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? set in a Black Mirror episode
i hate people like her. everything she says is to indirectly verbalize her opinions and psychoanalyze you but pretend it's about something else. she's doing it to isaac. this is why i became the way i am and why it's so hard to talk to people anymore. i'm constantly paranoid and uncomfortable because people do this to me too. it's something about us that makes people like her wanna attack but they don't wanna be direct for some reason. very interesting phenomenon. it's pure energy
i see Ed interested in them, i see Ed complimenting them, i see a rockstar from the golden age from one of the biggest rock bands ever, being humble and open to the newborn bcnr members, and yall here in the comments acting like he was an a hole, are yall that sensitive? was he suppose to lay down in the ground and woof? theres nothing toxic in here, y'all hunting drama, getting offended over nothing, grow tf up.
Ed is, Ed is obviously nice and tells stories that relate to them and help the interview find common ground. The interviewer is just psychoanalysing isaac all the way through and kinda does ask the wrong questions and it ends up being a bit pseudointellectual Kim seems to just be there to stroke her own ego, idk that woman just comes across as a dick.
ed talking about releasing one of the greatest albums ever and still being depressed while isaacs there. little did they know two years later...
This feels like black mirror
elaborate on that
because I told everyone I'd met that I'd never seen black mirror
its always been the same. black mirror just made you see something different and surreal from digital media.

First part of the interview feels like Isaac is in an awkward family christmas dinner and Ed is his drunk uncle
"Your name is a metaphor for rebirth" "Yea, i found it on wikipedia while browsing random articles"
that's how art happens tbf. just keep your eyes open and something sticking will pop out, and often you'll know it's right even if you don't know why.

it’s so interesting to see isaac and tyler so young here. they’ve grown so much artistically in only a couple years. love them!
this feels like an art school seminar class
Hahah
omg
oh hi hiding places fancy seeing you here

In context this question and his answer to “is music all you can do?” is telling. Wish there was more interviews with him
this is my multiverse of madness
“Is music all you can do?”
“So far.”
God that answer was so badass. Am I the only one who sees that?
14:51 tell me this isn’t where Isaac got the idea for ‘ants from up there’ concept omg!!
That would be fking awesome

EOB and Isaac in the same room.. we need BCNR Radiohead collab asap

tbf isaac generally has big "i don't want to be here" energy whenever he's on camera. god bless him, it must have been so fucking taxing.

Radiohead and BCNR??? This is a dream!!
THANK YOU. Been trying to find the interview portion ever since it was taken down
That part in science fair where the electronics come in and the strings it really reminded me of Radiohead actually
wow i think i watched this episode when it came out, didn't even know who bcnr were. very cool they were on the same conversation as kim and ed.
funny how they’re all talking about seeing the world from space and then bcnr made ants from up there
Also funny how Ed O'Brien said he was depressed after working on Ok Computer and Isaac left the band before AFUT due to mental health reasons.
