This interview just reminds me how dysfunctional my three piece band was as a unit. How the hell a seven piece group can be so close AND work so well is mind blowing

That was such a nice, fun interview. For the first time is probably my album of the year so far, and hearing their excitement for their upcoming material has me already looking forward to whatever comes next!
Fantano is definitely one of the most versatile artists of all time, he is part of a boy band like Brock And Hampton but also part from a Slint-rock band Black MIDI, New Country.
Now that Ants from up there is out what'd you think about it? I personally think it's even better than their debut and honestly think it'll be one of those classic albums that will stand the test of time. Sad to see issac leave tho.
Yeah it seems like he’s always trying to stay out of the spotlight even though he’s the main voice of the band. If he doesn’t want to do many interviews, that’s okay but I’m just wondering why...
@@ahnmensch3115 he would probably feel bad If he was in every interview, just because he's the vocalist. I think they want the whole band to be the face of the band yknow

well now the frontman is stepping down and the band canceled their tour dates. I enjoy their music but who knows what the internal dynamic is. maybe they've got conflicting creative forces.
@@CerdurTV in the interview they say that everyone is happy with the music they make, they are always seeking that, but I could definitely see coming to terms hard since the lyrics are made by just one person. Anyway, Isaac said it is not because of the members that he is stepping out, it seems like a personal decision because of his mental state. I really hope he gets better and eventually comes back. The band won't be the same without such important pieces as isaac's songwriting and lyrics
One thing I find to be a shame about being human is our overall inability to communicate and interpret others genius at times. I think it's clear that what BC,NR has is someone special. The individual talent coming together, at least on record, so harmoniously and playing into one another to create something truly epic and beautiful. Yet the members struggle to articulate it all. Probably cause they're young, but mostly I think it's because they're human. It's the reason I suspect why it's often hard to see the genius in people, until they go and make something like this. Striving to be a better communicator and better receive others communication is a life long goal of mine.
It really is one influence submerged under many, many others.. but some parts of their songs are moments where this influence is fully manifest, but then the song changes and something very different happens. It is as if a remastered Slint track played in the background of something infinitely more chaotic, but you only hear it some seconds here and there, in small breaks. With one exception, which are the odd time signatures of the drum rhythms.
Wow you got Black Country and New Road in the same interview good job Fantano

Belle and Sebastian managed it, although Isobel Campbell had her issues.
