if there was an AWD wagon version (hell even it was Escape based ST) I would buy it as fast as Ford could make them ADR compliance.
Escape ST Line model has the 2.0L turbo engine from the previous Focus ST.
Please test the facelifted model which finally gets launch control. We are getting my wife a new daily and it's between the Hyundai i30n dct and 2022 focus st automatic.
Would love that you review the 2022 st. And compare to stinger 2022 gt. Full review not just drag race please
That is pretty impressive time.
But as for the 1/4 mile real numbers....they will not match perfectly to a track time slip. Also, did you use or disable the 1 foot roll out? That will make a difference as well.
You are spot on, particularly as we don’t use 1-foot rollout. I go into this in more detail in an upcoming video and illustrate the difference but should probably mention it every time!
@@motorofficial That's awesome. I have compared Dragy, VBOX Sport and the new Racebox and found that Dragy is the closest to the real time slip over 50+ runs.
ford should have given it the DCT as opposed to a torque converter auto... i test drove this car and i just find the downshift sluggish compared to a cupra leon or i30n dct
So Golf GTI will be a few car lengths back?
That’s correct, about 0.5sec. We’ll hopefully do the GTI in due course but check out our drag video with it if you haven’t already!
Nice vid, but I think fords 0-100 time for the auto is 6.1 and 5.7 for the manual, all the tests between the 2 I have seen on the RUclipss has said the auto is faster than the manual tho
I thought it was 5.7 for the auto, but you may be correct. Regardless, the auto does 5.7 too!
Shame we Canadians and Americans don't get this car. If its available then I would have gotten this over 2022 MK8 GTI.

Fwd / very quick car . The best thing about the Focus is they are now all built in Germany 🇩🇪 . Stock 5.7 - 0-100 & a 1/4 in 13.8 great .
Testing ST in automatic gearbox is like not funny joke...
