Wrong communication, please read the report properly. It is not a total of 10 = 6 ITC hotels + 4 ITC...it is itc hotels shares100% = 40% itc + 60 share holder's

You are 100% correct. The value of ITC share will come down after knowing the price of ITC Hotels, similar to Jio Financial in which the value was ascertained and Reliance share price was adjusted accordingly. Similar modus operandi will be followed in ITC also.

I checked CNBC and other videos. It states that in the new entity, ITC Ho tels, ITC Management will hold 40% and remaining 60% will be held by shareholders. How much each existing shareholder get ITC Hotel share, will be decided in the ensuing meeting. There is no impact in ITC shares, may be market price of ITC will be adjusted after ascertaining the value for IT Hotels, similar toJio Financial.
The statement is erroneous. In this case, the share price of ITC would have gone to Rs.100 to Rs.150.
