The slimy rag can sometimes be due to overbuild of the product. Hence the importance to wash it after showering. I once used a rag for like two weeks. It got slimy because I wasn’t properly rinsing out the product. But yes, changing your bath cloth or loofah every month is solid advice.

The earrings one I learned occurs with the build up from your soap when you wash behind your ears and that build up just sits there and starts to smell, hence now I just keep my studs off until I go out, etc 😂

Personally I think the the African net sponge is the best thing to use in the shower. It exfoliates your body very well, it’s easier to clean than a loofah, and it last longer.
I have new piercings, so I can't take them out. However during the first 2 weeks I cleaned my piercings every day with warm salt water and q-tips. Now that they're older I clean them once a week.
