Being as this drone saves great audio, how about letting us hook a bluetooth mic to the app since my phone is always in my pocket when motion tracking and I like most don't have a headphone jack now days on the phone.
I wish that bit about creating a clip being the only way to get audio was more well documented. I've been going crazy trying to figure out why the audio wasn't coming out.

@@Skydio I did look there, really I don't think it is documented anywhere that you need to create a clip to get the audio to work. I know it doesn't work by downloading the whole video. If you open clip editor and make the clip as long as the video, sure, but not if you just offload the video to phone. From what I gathered before you guys posted this video as long as you let the phone sync it applies the audio to the video. This whole time I thought there was something wrong with my phone. It's no big now I've only flown a handful of times and the audio wasn't a big loss but still I wish I had known that sooner as it would have saved me quite a bit of time fiddling with it.
@@Skydio Is the audio the sound captured from the drone or the controller/ phone? If the former, it would just be noise. If the latter, it would be great as you could vioce annotate what's going on - using the microphone on the phone. Thanks

I have a question, I inserted my SD card to my Mac, but the video and audio are two different files, how to I merge the two and make it one to download or I have to use video editor to combine the two?
If you pull the files off the SD card they need to be synced using an editing software, however if you export the video as a clip from the app it will do the syncing for you. Keep in mind that clips exported from the app are in their original high resolution.
Ive done this over and over before without any issue but for some reason yesterday after a syncing my media as instructed, but then making a clip, the audio is lost on the save file to my photo camera roll, any thoughts?
I use the GoPro editing software and it does not recognize any of my skydio 2 footage or snaps so I can't edit them with my GoPro footage so cutting from skydio footage to underwater footage tracking the same experience of the same time there's none of that I can't blend the footage

The "User Data" in the Skydio2 app continues to increase everytime I fly. It can become quite large. The only way I have found to clear it is to "Clear Storage" from within Android settings. What is this data and what is the best way to purge it from my phone?
If I connect Skydio/beacon//iPhone does the video/audio still synch after the flight? Or is that just when the iPhone is connected directly to the Skydio?
Everytime i share my footages on social media, specially Instagram, they look horrible, pixelated and not clear, any suggestions? Note that i cut my videos from the app and share them directly afterwards
The audio records to the phone, so it's not necessarily drone sounds (depending on how close the drone is flying to you and where the phone is located). However, with Android you can turn off audio recording in the settings, or you can just turn off the drone or kill the app before the audio syncs after landing. If you don't want audio, just kill the app right when you land. On iOS it's a bit more of a challenge if you've enabled mic permissions, you will need to uninstall the app, reinstall, and disable the mic permissions when asked. Or, you could just kill the app or power down the drone after each flight before it has time to sync.

Unfortunately Apple is pretty stingy with what they allow developers to do. If you have mic permissions enabled on IOS you will need to reinstall the app, and when asked to enable mic permissions, tap disable instead of enable. You can also kill the app or power down the drone as soon as you land and this will stop the audio sync.

Are you exporting the clip via the mobile app? Are you on Apple or Android? If you’re on an iPhone, did you enable mic permissions when you first installed the app?
@@Skydio I'm using an android phone and after I finish flying I'll leave the skydio on go to my media and click on the video and there is no sound. When I downloaded the app I did grant permission for the mic on the phone
I wish you had the videos in order from out of the box, charging and updating then the flying. Yiur videos afe all over the place and not in any order.

Is there a max limit on the length of a Clip (assuming you have plenty of space on your phone/ tablet?)
I always take my SD card out and plug it in my computer for editing. I never use the audio from my clips.

When transferring files to the computer does an audio file get loaded too? Seems weird that audio would be lost once turned off.
If you allowed the media to sync after landing Skydio 2 before powering off or killing the app, the audio files will be on the SD card.

Best way to purge all the data is to uninstall and reinstall the app.

As long as the phone is connected and you allow it to sync you should get audio even if the Beacon is connected as well.

IG compresses the crap out of everything!
Make sure your insta setting is set to high quality! By default its not. Plenty videos on that.
