      Hi, hope you are better. I too am from Kenner - lived in New Orleans all my 68 years. I am so sad that I didn't get to see them at the Warehouse. The 70s were my baby years. Isn't this great that we can relive the things we took forgranted back then. I hope RUclips continues this.

    Nobody had a voice like Peter Cetera, and there will never be another voice like his. I don’t care what anybody says, he MADE Chicago and was primarily responsible for their outrageous success. That voice was like no other. Yes, Terry Kath, Robert Lamm and all the others were indispensable, too, but Cetera is the main one that gave them that classic “Chicago” sound. And after he left the group, that familiar Chicago sound went with him…never to return again, even though they attempted to fill his spot with countless high tenor voices. Chicago has never sounded the same since he left.
    What a time to be alive back then. One hit after another from HUNDREDS of fantastic groups and individual artists. Today’s music sucks in comparison.

    So badass.. been listening intently to 'rock and roll' for 48 years since i was a 13 year old boy in Seattle area and my Mom would have radio , am radio on. Been intrigued since. Remember Chicago when i was a teen in 70s, heard 25 or 6 to four by bands other than them a thousand times by 1980, at high school bball games, football game etc.. lol.. always thought they were alright.. i actually really liked Old Days a lot since maybe 1980. My appreciation of Chicago has gone up intensely for last 5 years
    This song is intense, cool as possible, well done and is catchy, relevant and sounds incredible from an old man stoner who loves rock music while stoned.. Masterpiece , Feeling Stronger Everyday is am certsin

    Take a note kids. This is how they did it back in the day. Now days you hear about artists/groups saying they spent a year (or more) in the studio for a song or album that only has 10 words and uses computer generated "instruments". These guys go into a studio for a week to a month and put out music that is golden,,, with real instruments.

    • @michaelm.4775

      Exactly - Chicago recorded the CTA double album in less than a week.

    • @paulcatania1315
      @paulcatania1315 10 лет назад +26

      Those guys were so hot and prolific back then they had to keep putting out double albums to accommodate the amount of material. Chicago II and III were doubles, Chicago IV, Live @ Carnegie Hall was a 4 record set, and Chicago VII was a double. I think song-for-song, Chicago V was their creative peak.
      The song in this video, Feeling Stronger Every Day is from Chicago VI.
      Though they've have some bright moments over the years, I lost interest after Terry Kath went in 1978. I was buying their records as they came out and learned to play bass listening to them and Blood, Sweat & Tears. That was pop music back then. I remember going to high school dances back then and the bands would have a horn section and play stuff like Make Me Smile or Color My World (and they were good!) That was normal back then.
