    The "Kalvträsk ski" find is ~5200years old. Just sayin :D

    The Digervarden ski was most likely used by the lapps/sámi or “skríðfinner” like the vikings used to call them.

      Very plausible! I personally beleive that their first skiis developed were inspired by the samis snowshoes, which looks like a short ski and has fur underneath.. Only a personal theory tho, nothing concrete to back it up with :)

    Furr was used on snow shoes, not skis.

      Fur was used on skis both in prehistory, and in still modern times in the Chinese Altai.
