TRACING THE TRACKS OF SKIING TO THE MOUNTAINS OF ALTAI HD

In North-West China people ski like the old Norwegian "Birkebeinerne" did. They have been skiing like that for thousands of years. This is where it all started, Chinese researchers claim.
While Norwegian people take pride in calling Norway the cradle of skiing.
But where were the skies actually invented, and who can rightly call their country the home of skis?

Awesome! That video brougth tears to my eyes by it's beauty. I would love to try those old skis and pole. That must be so hard on the balance and hard to control in the descents. Thank you for sharing, that made my day. I personally do not care where the skis originated from. I do care that they do exist in all their various forms.
