    I also really like this „trend“. I learn to mend more and more but with so much Second Hand stuff available I often ask myself why I should change the rubberbands in sleeping shorts (a work I hate) or why I should make things work if nobody else seems to do it. But this kind of content supports me on my way and inspires me. I never was in for the minimal style (like you I have a colorful wardrobe and painted walls). And I hated the „updates“ some minimalists made like old stuff out, new, high-end gear in. Therefore underconsumption really resonates with me. As the trend is also widely criticized: I am not on TikTok so I only see this trend on RUclips. I never saw a video where someone showed overconsumption in this content like some videos seemingly did. But I saw a lot of content about repurposing, mending, reusing…
    I also have a old coffee mill from generations before :)

      Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts!❤️ I'm glad to hear how this trend is resonating with you, especially as someone who appreciates the value of mending and repurposing. It’s true that with so much second-hand stuff available, it can sometimes feel like an uphill battle to put in the extra effort when others might not.😊
      I totally get what you mean about the "updates" that some people-it can feel counterintuitive when the goal is to consume less.
      And those old coffee mills are real treasures. I am always amazed how durable that old stuff is! Indestructible! 😯🙂
      Thanks for being here! I always enjoy "reading" you. 😊

    I recently read a Korean book,where they use crochet scrubbies,which I thought was weird,and now you show some also! I think they look lovely,but what do you clean with them? Just curious,as I am interested in learning to crochet myself.

    • @lisipilz
      @lisipilz  2 месяца назад +2

      Thank you for sharing! ❤️ I use them to clean to wash and wipe every kind of surface, except for the windows at the moment. Mainly because before you washed them 2 or 3 times, they leave they leave a bit of fluff. They are also great for applying wood treatment. They are definitely a great project to learn to crochet or learn crochet patterns because it doesn't matter if it is not perfect. They will lose a little shape anyway after a few washes. All the best for your crocheting journey if you decide to start! There are many good tutorials here on RUclips. 🤗

    What was that device you used to froth (and heat?) your milk?

    • @lisipilz
      @lisipilz  2 месяца назад +1

      It's an induction milk frother from Tschibo 🙂 I like it because it works really well and is super easy to clean. It can make warm milk foam or just heat milk, and somehow, it can also make cold milk foam, though I have honestly never tried that. 🙂

      Thank you for your suggestion. ❤️ That would indeed look nice and is something I have always wanted to master. I guess I am just not patient enough. 😊 I was already getting nervous when doing the little mend on my shirt.🤭

    Its not a trend or a vibe or a "core". Millions of people already live like this and have done so for decades. Gen X idiocracy at its finest.

    • @lisipilz

      Thank you for sharing your perspective! You’re absolutely right that many people have been living this way long before it became a trend. My goal is to highlight these principles, regardless of how they’re labeled, and to encourage more people to consider a more intentional and mindful way of living. I appreciate your input and the discussion it brings to the table, but I'd also appreciate it if we could keep the conversation respectful and friendly and keep this space positive for everyone.

      Just because it’s trending doesn’t mean anyone thinks it’s a new idea. Publicly embracing and discussing an old philosophy (whether out of necessity or otherwise) doesn’t make anyone idiots. The rebrand just brings the younger generations to the conversation in their own words. What an ignorant comment.
