The most logical reaction to a Mouth Album is equal parts admiration and disgust. Every track is a new sword of damocles and the lyrical portion of it kicking in is the horse hair snapping. You don't know what to expect or when to expect it. All you know is that it's hanging over you.
Neil is just next level. When I first heard he also did Potter Puppet Pals and The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny I couldn't believe it at first and made me even more amazed at his various talents.
Someone described this album perfectly ages ago 'its like youve fallen asleep with the tv on in the background, but rather than a nice warm sleep, like a winter sleep and shiverring' that hits hard today XD

Mouth dreams is one of my albums of the past 3 years, with all that's going on it's been kinda cathartic, and the Criken version is my fav one to listen to, since it's kinda like listening with someone else. I made my own version of this a while back, with the music edited back in for the muted bits, but I don't have it on my new computer, so thanks for this!

In T.I.M.E he evokes very emotional 80s gay positivity in a harsh world; in the Hall Of The Jimmy King he basically outlines the process of an alcoholic's son having a meltdown over the generational trauma inflicted on him. It just makes ya think, the dude is so fucking creative and it breaks your brain the more you listen to these magnificent audial shitposts

I remember listening to these albums over time, and loving them more and more, with Mouth Dreams in particular being a favorite that staggered me. Listening to it for the first time, in the vacuum of nothing, and not knowing what to expect, was no lie a spiritual experience for me. And I really, really enjoyed being able to see Criken and chat go through it now, in real-time. So, I appreciate it.

If Nightmovin' was longer, it'd top my list. But Ribs is probably the best one for me. It's so god damned creative and has so many different tracks blended and sampled to perfection.
