Honestly, Jared, I’ve been here for as long as I have because you’re very funny, entertaining, sincere and get me through my every week especially now working 12 hour shifts it really helps makes my lunch break all the better.
Just so you know, Mark spells stack with themselves. For example if you use mark 1 once it does 15 damage. If you use it twice it does 30 and then 30 every hit. So on so fourth. It adds up real quick. Time mage can deal some sick damage.
Well, Ozmo already put out a poll to ask which class should be added from Gambler, Samurai, Chemist, and Machinist: - Pretty sure Samurai would be like Paravir from Tactics Advance 2, where they focus on reflecting melee damage and countering. - Gambler seems like it'll be Wild Magic of all the spells in the game, maybe additional effects, like the Dancer ability in Octopath Traveler. - Chemist/Apothecary will probably do the thing where they mix multiple items to generate bonus effects (Like two Heal Potions make Heal2 Potion, a Heal and a Pure make Soft) or guarantee the maximum efficacy of potions. - And Machinist... deals extra damage to constructs? I'd assume. That or be like Beastmaser for constructs and controls them too. Or they could be like the Chemist but with equipment instead of items.
Samurai?: each successful hit grants you a point. Spend those points on buffs or debuffs or damage spell. Each ability costs a different amount of points. Point max is determined by level.
1) I truly enjoy all of the Jerd content we get 2) I have yet to find the “Join” or “Membership” options on the RUclips channels. My Prime subscription on Twitch is all I’ve been able to find to support. 🤷🏻♂️
@ProJared If you are going to put up older streams, may I request the old Gold Box streams? If they even still exist. What’s available has been incomplete forever. P1 has multiple streams missing. P2 gets cut off mid run. P3, I think, is all there? And P4 is missing entirely? Can’t remember if you even did a playthrough of it or not.
That's not your controller. When I play the game, I always have to be careful about my confirmations, because my cursor jumps wherever it wants to. I've used many a tent/cabin/house trying to use a pure or something.
It has to be said: First run: "Hey, I found a house! Millennial dream!" Second run: "Well, pissed away a house." (Millennial Reality) On the Gamepad cursor jumping: That and startup lag/memory usage are the two worst issues FFR has. We see both all the time in the discord. :(
I think a Samurai could be good as a tanky Job that focuses on counters. It's special action lets it counter attack after being hit and maybe it can learn other cool sword techniques like Zantetsuken. It'd also start out as a Ronin and become a Samurai after being upgraded. A good addition to the Thief/Ninja Job would be adding a Gil Toss action. Put all that money they steal to good use and spend it to attack. It'd be really great in the endgame when you have nothing left to buy. I honestly believe there could be a lot of fun with a Chemist and an item focus. Restoring more HP when using Heal Potions, making items AoE in their use, sometimes getting free uses of your items. In their spell slots they have special actions that consume items. Like using a potion to attack an enemy or using a status cure like a Pure or Soft to inflict the ailment on the enemies.
hmm. Classes I would like to see, alright. I like the Gambler. The advanced version can be the High Roller. It could equip dice that have a significantly wider damage ranges compared to weapons of the same power level. The limit break is slots. Field skill is Let's Play Money Making Game! with various NPCs. I do think the Chemist could work. It's base ability would be using items on the party with increased effectiveness, but they would have a skill, admixture, that gets new abilities by talking to NPCs. Each admixture recipe would cost two different consumables. Having these as set abilities does remove a lot of the fun of exploration that chemist in other FF games have, but it gets around the limited number of consumables in the game, as two recipes could us the same ingredients. The field skill would probably let you 'make" potions by spending gold at a markup. When upgraded (let's abandon creativity for this one and call it the Alchemist) they could do an admixture with four ingredients. Berserker would be easy to implement if maybe a bit boring. Buffed melee damage in exchange for controlling the character, which I would model as only the fight command appearing. This would also make it so the upgraded class can still us a limit break. Which maybe would give the party the berseker's attack buff to the party. The field skill could be like the dark knight's interacting with certain elements permanently increases their attack buff Mime could be interesting. Mimic would replace the fight command, of course, but the question would be would they mimic the previous ally to take a turn or would you chose. I'm not sure of the exact mechanics, but Samurai could work as a fighter with skills, maybe gil toss (it was one of their abilities in FF5), a stunning attack, an AOE melee attack etc. Where I'm struggling with this one is what the cost to use the skills are. For a class that doesn't have an equivalent that I'm aware of, let's call it the Bastion. It's abilities would be that when it's in the front it increase the chance that it is the target even more, and some percentage of their equipped weapon is converted from attack to additional defense. There you go. There are my answers that you only sort of asked for and can do nothing with. I been enjoying this run so far keep it up.
Yeah, only problem is Beserker is already done... Dark/Death Knight is basically a berserker already: consuming enemies for bonuses and the inverted damage to HP thing. I mean, unless Ozmo can add a rage mechanic into the game where, but kinda base it on enemy morale.

We're here because we like you Jerd. You're also one of my comfort channels that I can put on to help me sleep. I mean this in a very positive way.
I totally have a Projared sleep playlist here!!!! He is like the Bob Ross of video games.
Less funny over time? I disagree. I've been showing up for your content for like 10 years. Thanks for the entertainment.
"Joystick means nothing me to babe, I promise." "I don't even know what that is"
It’s best you don’t.

Oh, so kinda like Cyan's sword tech in 6, but instead of waiting, you're spending points?
I can see it. That's kinda like the Chakra thing for monks.
You're one of my favourite youtubers. I hope you have a nice break.
Geomancer MVP. Had one my first playthrough. So fun.
1:15 clip it for future use
Yes! Thanks for dropping this, bud!

I love how jerd and chat literally talked about all of the classes that I just got a poll on in the discord
The Power Staff becomes stronger the more party members are equiped with one
Without the thief I think you can still find 3 of them
@ProJared

18:30 Dragon Quest 9 was fun for me, since you make a team of your own characters, and can freely change between classes once you unlocked them
Fuck yes. I thought this would take longer to get uploaded

I believe Jared's catch phrase is 'Got any stuff? '
It has to be said:

Btw Definitely worth class changing the geo later on! Thanks again for the vod Jerd!
Fingers crossed for Float soon! You can skip encounters! :D

Awesome, thanks for more content
"There's so many treasures I didn't get." Yeah, going into dungeons woefully unprepared will do that to you. 🙂
Enjoy the week off!!
This is a great party setup, looks challenging
Geomancers, Dancers, and Trainers are very good classes.
Evoker adds interesting gameplay, but it sucks
It’s an incidental randomly chosen All Mage Run! Jared’s going to bat for our entertainment here. Not the easiest run. ✌🏾❤️👾😎
I'll probably be rewatching a lot of your old vods for a week, then.

Once everyone classes up and finally can farm for easy money, they're going to be monsters!
YAY! (cue the Final Fantasy fanfare)
Squire like in tactics
Reset in the new year? Noo, Spooder-Man must stay! 😁
Yes dude!
Dragon quest 5 and 7 are great i recommend both.
Also you definitely deserve the break and time I hope well spent for yourself to recharge and refresh yourself. See you in 2025
