You are right, such a shame to see this home demolished. I watch your videos but never expected to see a home of this caliber, just gone! Thanks for the videos, you do a great job!
I hope that 1 day you do buy the place and rebuild it back exactly as she was and you may invite me to come see it and see her rebuilt back to her grand self and still be there many many years from now.😊👍
Nice presentation. I wish someone would suggest to these Developers, instead of tearing down such beautiful homes. Keep them and make them a Club House for the new additions. Most of these properties are on acres and acres of land. They could be a Club House and Possibly Bed & Breakfast/AirB&B to add to the new situation. And NOT add to the Land Fills adding to our environmental problems. If anyone out there knows Developers suggest this. Look at all that stuff that has to go to the land fill and this is happening all over. And Explorers Don't forget your LIGHT.
Hello Ethan, this house certainly was grand!! It's a shame that it's gone. I can tell you really liked this home & I'm sure that it's difficult for you to see it is now a pile of rubble. Some day though you will build it back!!! Thanks for sharing this interesting adventure!!! 👍👍🙂
You were right! This house was AMAZBALLS!! I feel like if one of the family members sees this video, not only should they reach.out .to you, I think they should post some pictures of the rooms FURNISHED!! I wld SO LOVE to see these huge rooms furnished in the different decades!!!! ❤❤❤ Thank you for sharing such an awesome find!!
Rooting for you to rebuild it someday Ethan! From watching your videos the last 3 years, I too have fallen in love with 80s style houses, especially Glass Squares!
Last fall I went to an estate sale that was in a 8000 sq ft home! You needed a GPS to get around! A doctor built it in the early 90's, and was sold some years ago. The new owner ran it into the ground! The taxes are 20,000 and was going on the market for 2.2 million, and a fixer upper! Three furnaces, climate controlled wine cellar, movie theater in the basement and it just went on and on and on. All of us nosey shoppers said it was fun to go through it, but no one wanted to move in! So, keep on keeping on Ethan, and wishing you all the best for 2024! Cheers from Wisconsin
"Magnificent backyard" was a true treasure in its heyday and prior to demolition.❤ thanks for preserving a home full of family memories and sharing appropriately.
Another amazing property lost to urban sprawl… love your passion for these places and really appreciate you sharing your adventures and chronicling the history that would otherwise be lost 👍
Ethan....you DID Good! I believe you are the forerunner in our community for a new thing! Follow the before /during/after demolitions! Great content that takes us further than abandoned!
I can tell this house is special to you. It's got you emotional in a level you usually don't do. (Swearing, not offended.) So sorry it was demolished. It was amazing. I hope.you someday get to build yours.❤
Another Great Video Ethan! I hope you will eventually have the money to make this your dream home one day. You will reach your goal! Do not Give Up! Keep us posted
Great goal, keep up this U.tube channel, and you'll accomplish your goal in just a few years. Do you have a time plan to achieve it? You do realize that you'll need at least four kids to qualify for a home this big. 😃 I wish you much luck, and I send many prayers to you. That glass block bar is awesome! Nice house indeed.
I really appreciate the backstory, I can’t stand when explorers do zero research on the places. It’s a little long of an intro though, but I did enjoy the video. Thanks 🥰
Good luck to you to obtain the blueprints and building it!!! This was beautiful but a maze of hallways. I really enjoyed seeing this house and look forward to additional videos on this beauty!! Thanks for sharing!! 💖💖💖💖💖
Thanks for a really great explore Ethan! The thing i like the most about demolition sites is seeing just how many different materials really go into building a home, no matter how big or small. It is sad to see such a beautiful home that really wasn’t that old be torn down, and i can only imagine how the families who lived in this home must feel to see a place where they once lived and made memories be demolished. Again, thanks for another great video, and Happy New Year!
Ethan just want to let you know that without doubt I know someday you will have this dream. I feel it in my heart. You are determined and hard working. Thanks for sharing this beautiful mansion!
Such sadness in the U.S. (if this is in the U.S.). That's all people do anymore, is tear down the beautiful and fine houses to build something modern and new. And people who still live in these beauties, have gotten the entire inside of the home re-done with modern day new stuff. It seems I am the only one that loves these gorgeous homes and architecture. I haven't met anyone else who does.
I so agree with you. It's depressing to see the huge pile of rubble where that magnificent house stood. Here's hoping you will build your lookalike dream home soon! I've also been wondering...did you happen to take a brick or something with you as a memento? I think I might've, just for the hell of it. Awesome job on this video, Ethan. Keep up the good work!
There is nothing to say but WOW! It was such a beautiful home. I will say this; the tiny door in the closet under the stairs was a safe room. Thanks for sharing Ethan. Sad to see such a beautiful home destroyed. God bless!
Ethan you’re such a sentimental, young man. 😊. And I don’t mean it in a bad way it’s so sweet of you to try to bring back something from the past that’s been torn down like this but you have to remember you’re never going to really get it to where it was because of the materials at the time that it was built in the first place you can build a good quality home grant you, but at the same time it still won’t be exactly the same. 😢. I think you know that and whenever you do build your own home, remember it’s all about the details like you brought out and the little details as well they matter. no shortcuts but I wish you the best in achieving your goal and getting your own home and having it built the way you want it to be built but I have been really enjoying your videos and thank you for the intro and researching this home out. I appreciate that you take care and be safe out there.❤🤠
Ethan, I can definitely understand your passion for this amazing home. It is sad to see that the home was demolished. You have wonderful videos of your dream home. I don't doubt that someday you will have your dream house built. Thank you for sharing this special home. ❤
This home was beautiful ❤ I love it the designs how it was outlined. They crazy for taring it down!!! 😢😢💔💔 It just needed some TLC. Love & upgrades some!!
😢 I'm sorry Ethan... But I have to say, "this is one of your best videos" because it just proves I've been right about you all along. I'm glad I found you. I'm glad I've had the pleasure of getting to know "some" of you through your videos. This video shows the true testament into your young soul. Thank you for sharing the greatness of the sadness of this "Once was" Amazingly Beautiful house.
I love how much you love these properties! My dream home is the other house they demolished in your video it too was an 80s mansion it made me gasp that they would tear down such a beautiful home! I hope someday you build your dream home
I can see why you love this one! When you bypass a mirror, Mirror Ethan!! Lol and then the Glass block bar!! Wow, just wow!! Someone out there PLEASE find the blueprints for him!!!
You almost had me in tears for you. I loved the long hallway!! The chandeliers. I hope you get to build your dream home just like it one day - without the waste of space pointless little closet you showed us. I'm sorry you lost this home. Yours will be amazing.
It was an amazing and beautiful home! I loved the architectural style, and elements. Forty years is a relatively small amount of time in the life of a home especially one like this! It is a truly sad and depressing thing to see such an incredible home reduced to a pile of rubble🙁. I know it is extra hard to see when it was one that you felt so deeply about. I believe though, that your true passion will lead you to have the home of your dreams one day. ✌️
Wow Ethan what a gorgeous home I like the thought of having 10 acres of land lucky lucky people i would love to own this property great job Ethan thanks for sharing happy new year stay safe 🎉🎉❤xo Mary
So so sad and heartbreaking that this beauty was torn down. The foyer was beautiful with the wallpaper, staircase and chandelier. A real dream home that I hope you can rebuild sometime in the future. I wish it for you with all my heart and thank you for the fantastic video and the sad updates on the demolition. Take care, stay safe and healthy, Ethan. 🙏❤️
I’m so sorry that you had to witness something you’ve loved for so long meet it’s premature demise. I would have been crying my eyes out but I’m often told I’m too sentimental. It was a gorgeous house though. So much to love about it from the entry foyer onward. Beautiful staircase, the trims the moldings the wall coverings the large living rooms and dining rooms. Those circular rooms really nice. The curved fireplaces were uniquely beautiful. I wonder how they can create something circular from square brick. The glass block bar was pretty neat. It’s a shame you couldn’t have found a couple of those glass blocks in the pile of rubble to save to use as cornerstones for whatever you choose to build out of it in your future dream house. I have no doubt that you will someday have everything you want in that dream house and that you will achieve every success that you dream of. So many things to love in that house but one of my favorites was the tiling in the foyer area. Looked like sunflowers. The house was formal but the tiles were whimsical. Thank you Ethan for sharing this amazing house! You’re always so good at what you do! Take care of yourself, be well and stay safe. And be happy!
Ya know you seem to spook/creep yourself with almost every viewing recently. 😁 hehe. Beautiful home. Thank you for showing us around. A real pity it was torn down. Wonderful amenities. I bet it was a fun place to grow up in. It was surely loved over the years. But lets tear everything down and see how many houses we can build on 10 acres. Money, money, money. Blessings to you. Stay warm and healthy. 🤗👍🎉
That was a beautiful home I have driven by it many times too when I lived in Bowmanville and when visiting my dad. sucks it's gone tho. They are taking so many homes here to rebuild condos and townhomes, it's sad that they do this. anyways cool Videos Ethan!
Wow! That was heart breaking to watch it being demolished. Beautiful home! Love everything about it. I can just imagine the Christmas' that were celebrated in this amazing house. Hope your dream comes true Ethan on building your house?!! Love your videos!! 😊🏘⛲❤
This home is definitely a high-quality home. I just can only imagine that they imported the floor tile from Italy. The detailing of the tile floor is spectacular. What a shame.😢
The flooring and chandelier in the first room are gorgeous! The furniture to fill it would probably cost as much as the house. You’re spooking me, Ethan, with the noise. In the nanny’s bathroom, one would hit one’s head on that slanted ceiling standing up from the toilet. Not nice. The sweeping staircase and chandelier above are beautiful. The one jarring note for me was the curved brick fireplace; that would have to go if it were me. The death of such a beautiful house is painful to me. Great video. Thank you for sharing your most important house. God Speed, Ethan, with your dream goal.
Another great video but this one has your passion and u can tell it really meant alot to u.. thank you for how u are so nice and kind. I bet watching this being torn down broke your heart😢. Thank u Ethan. ❤
Very beautiful place, there is a lot of natural light which is good since overall the wallpaper and flooring are a little too dark for my taste. I adore glass blocks and would definitely have them in a new place.😁
I know it's not my house and maybe the style at the time. But that house was too dark. With all the green wallpaper etc. I agree with you on all those funny angles. The one little area that you said there is no way you would go in. I was thinking, the only thing you could use that for is a bed. Which I wouldn't like.
Thank you dear Ethan ❤ Other subscribers have shared many lovely heartfelt thoughts and observations re: you, your work, your passion, añd this lovely former home. I totally agree with them. I'm a senior citizen. Enjoy your explores immensely. I am very proud of you, and thankful for knowing you. I find the patterned tiles on the floor a bit much but décor is quite nice, not the very busy wall paper that made the corridor even smaller and dark, lovely use of solid wood and mouldings very exquisite some nice chandelier very big house. You standing with that pile behind you was heart breaking. when you will try to recreate this house there wont be that much wood to work with. Thanks for the video
I have been watching you since the very first video that you put out so that’s been about three years I think and I’ve watched your channel grow and I’ve watched you get better and better but one thing I have to say is this was probably my favorite house you’ve ever doneit was just so classy and it’s a shame it’s gone to put up a housing project of some sort. Hi Ethan . I share your love of this grand home . She was beautiful. Wow 40 years , sad day seeing her go. Thanks for sharing her with us. Also my little town is the same , overpopulated, traffic jam , a greedy real estate agent has had all these plans in place for 20 years at least . He’s finally got his wish , ugly apartments/units , concrete jungle. I like old school houses with character! Such a shame , but what can we do about it ? Money talks! Watching from Australia 🇦🇺.
I would have loved to see this furnished by each of the owners to see their take on this home. I hope someday you will be able to build or purchase a well built house of your dreams.
Me running to the comments to see if any of the family members have commented.❤❤Please someone get him the blue prints❤❤
You are right, such a shame to see this home demolished. I watch your videos but never expected to see a home of this caliber, just gone! Thanks for the videos, you do a great job!

You're integrity is unmatched! And thank you for allowing us to join you on this somewhat difficult journey with this property

Another Great Video Ethan! I hope you will eventually have the money to make this your dream home one day. You will reach your goal! Do not Give Up! Keep us posted
Love the glass block bar and wall. Awesome! I’d definitely recreate that if we were to put a bar in our basement.

It's so sad when the land becomes worth more than the building that it sits on. Sorry Ethan beauty doesn't always last forever.
I really feel your passion for this home!
Well done on this one, the care respect you showed for this house and all previous owners is something to be proud of . Xx
Wow, gorgeous!! Thank you for another great house tour!

I'm late but Happy New Year Ethan, I can't wait to see what you're bringing in 2024!!!!
Nice in depth video man. Too bad you couldn't have filmed them building the house in 89. But at least we got to see the demise of the place...
So so sad and heartbreaking that this beauty was torn down. The foyer was beautiful with the wallpaper, staircase and chandelier. A real dream home that I hope you can rebuild sometime in the future. Crown molding is beautiful
Great Video Ethan.....I know it was sad to shoot :(
Absolutely beautiful
Love the glass blocks. Keep up the great job, you will rebuild it someday ❤
I feel you, Ethan! There is a home like that in my heart and dreams.

My heart hurts to know this was demolished.😢
Another great video but this one has your passion and u can tell it really meant alot to u.. thank you for how u are so nice and kind. I bet watching this being torn down broke your heart😢. Thank u Ethan. ❤
Great job Ethan as always.
This house was so special
Awesome.
Much luv
Carry on.
Isn’t it never ceases to amaze me on how quickly they can tear these homes down like this. 😮😢
I find the patterned tiles on the floor a bit much but décor is quite nice, not the very busy wall paper that made the corridor even smaller and dark, lovely use of solid wood and mouldings very exquisite some nice chandelier very big house. Love ur hoodie and U look great in tht Color❤🎉
Your introduction is moving your a good man keep the dream
Thanks for the pictures
Seen so many homes like this where there is nothing wrong with them completely liveable and get demolished.😢
Thanks for sharing Ethan this was really a nice home 🙏❤️
This was once amazing home thanks again 😊
Congrats on 100k!
I graduated highschool in '83. I loved those years. Had the best time of my life. Sad see another go. A sad shame. I just gave away my age😮😂
Beautiful tour. RIP. Soak up the night
Happy New Year 2024🎉❤🎉
What a beautiful house! I hope they repurposed the chandeliers.
Hey Ethan
Great tour of a beautiful home! So sad its been reduced to rubble...
One day you will have your dream home!
Take it easy.
Sorry Ethan, that’s super sad. The flooding and fire kind of sealed the deal. It was so cool.
I would have loved to see this furnished by each of the owners to see their take on this home. I hope someday you will be able to build or purchase a well built house of your dreams.
Definitely GRANDEOIUS, terribly shame to be demolished 😢
Great way to start the New year Ethan go for it one day you will rebuild that baby .
