I live in California and own a 1500sq ft home that already costs me a fortune to heat and cool. Thankfully, I don’t have to use the heater much in the winter, but my bill is still ridiculous. I can’t imagine what this house costs to heat and cool. But hey, if you can pay that much for a home, bills are pocket change lol

OK. This is the home I would dream of having! So incredibly dramatic with all of the soaring ceilings even in closets. It’s hard to imagine fully the beauty there in the days before any fire or gutting took place. I can’t imagine all of those ceilings with the lights twinkling from all of the gorgeous chandeliers. All of the archways were beautiful. All of the beautiful windows with lovely views probably in all seasons out onto the beautiful setting. The large pool with the two buildings seems like it would be perfect. I would think that it would still be easier to restore what was left rather than to start all over. I can’t imagine ever living in such a place I would have a really hard time leaving it all behind to eventually be ruined. It hurts my heart to even think of something that would have been breathtaking reduced to rubble and dust. Thanks Ethan for sharing this gem. Take care of yourself be well and stay safe. And keep warm. They do sell warm gloves that allow you to still handle phones and cameras.

Great video, Ethan. I wonder what happened why insurance didn’t repair the property after the fire. Did insurance find a way to not cover the loss or if the homeowner just took a cash payout and walked away.

Bummer man to see this beauty all gutted and burnt. Think the room with the unsafe floor was right above where the fire started? That master bathroom is incredible. Good to see it still has some nice features for us to see right Ethan? A shame and a waste. One the other side of this one is another massive abandoned mansion. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

So....something happened that the owner(s) didn't....HAVE ANY HOMEOWNERS INSURANCE, AT ALL, to rebuild?! That just makes no sense that anyone would build a new home of this caliber....and NOT have it ADEQUATELY INSURED?! Wow....they just walked away? That's so sad.

I wonder if there was an issue with insurance, and that is why it was never rebuilt. Or a death with the fire. I just would not understand with the framing and 'bones' still in good shape, why the interior was not restored. Thank you Ethan for amazing place. Blessings to you and please stay safe, healthy and warm. 😁👍

Too bad that you and your friends dont buy the house and fix it up. Probably will cost 2 million US dollars. A similar house in Las Vegas that needed to be completed with sheet rock , insulation and fixtures and cost 2 million to complete. Was probably an electrical fire that started in the sauna.

Way the home is framed out it would have been amazing. Would have liked to have it before the fire. Shame it had to burn. Wonder if insurance covered cost of rebuilding and if the owner built another home. This one probably wasn't paid for and mortgage company got majority of insurance. Hope they were able to salvage some of the furniture although it probably had too much smoke damage to it. Hope persons living there are safe and happy now. Really enjoyed this video. Keep up the good work, but don't go by yourself, you never know what could happen and you're too young. Thank you.

The only type of gripe that I have within the amount of money that was spent to build this home how many homes this could’ve been for the money that was put into this home to be used for people that are in need of a good home. how many homes? with the money that was used on this house that’s all I gotta say.😮😢.
