I don't want to mention the channel name on which I went mad watching videos trying to understand gear systems. I got totally confused and now in this channel I pacified myself with this simple yet clear explanation.
Beautiful technology.Manual control and clutchless, great. In long drive we have the pleasure of manual and automatically left leg is free .fuel efficiency good
Sir i have doubts 1. Will car cut off while collision. 2. In case of emergency how to stop car say if break fails or smoke appears in dashboard other thn push button as we dont have clutch. 3. In case of short circuit or any other fire related issue amd if we stuck in car for some reason will car cut off if not isent it a major issue as car is on and fuel supply is on it may blast..... In short what r the safety issues in imt as we don have option to shut off engine only puch button........ as we have option to shut off engine by just removing leg from clutch paddle
To start the engine gearbox should be in neutral, otherwise it won't start. You can drive from 3rd or 4th gear if imt is programmed to do so. If gear ratios are tall and torque output at wheel is not sufficient to pull directly in 3rd 4th or even 6th the imt will declutch the engine from transmission ( to ensure engine won't stop), and notify on dashboard to down shift.
@@UntangleClub So does that mean if we shift from lower gear to a very higher one (like 1st to 5th or 2nd to 6th), the clutch won't disengage until we shift down?
I wonder if I can drive the car with IMT with my Automatic Transmission Drive License))) technically there are 2 pedals , no clutch, so this is automatic
This is the best explanation I could find after hours of searching on youtube. Great job!

Very interesting. I had never heard of IMTs before now
Glad you enjoyed

Nice content ! I was only looking for this content with visual presentation .
Thanks a lot . 👍
Please mute that music. The content speaks for itself.
Awesome technology... Explained perfectly... 👍👍👍
Compared to manual cost, fuel efficiency and performance are at par the same right...
I though AMT is the most intelligent transmission but it blows my mind.👍
Latest thing ... Helpful to update knowledge
So can you compare amt vs int vs mt performance and reliability.
Well Said 😃.
Great
5:13, Sometimes price donot depends on number of parts.
Comfort can increase price.
iMT is very nice thanks for your reference
Btw, what cars is used this transmission, it's kinda new thing
Kias use it nowadays

Great I will buy.
Can we start driving directly from 3rd 4th gear..or it won't allow?

Toyota iMT still requires clutch
It can't be "intelligent" if it still requires the driver to engage and disengage the clutch manually.
@@troy5568 that's the point of a manual. Get an automatic otherwise.
name game please...
manual is better
it is for simple engine, but te hybrids needs these kind of automatic stuff, i dont recon seeing so many cars with manual clutch, maybe suzuki.
Manual without a clutch? That's just stupid
Its like having a lambo with an automatic transmission. What a waste
