  • Here I'm giving a Division One player clear footwork patterns to be able to move his body more effectively as he's hitting forehands. See if you can use these same movement patterns to make better adjustments as you move, and achieve more power through weight transfer.

    Wow instant subscribe, incredible video. I was just analyzing some 4.0 VS 4.5/5.0 usta videos to see what I was missing. The biggest thing I felt was how precise they are with their footwork, so then I got to this video. I cant wait to put this into practice.

      👆🏻that’s me. I’m here to report this video is incredible. I was destroying the ball yesterday. Consistency, power, speed. Just felt so dialed in knowing what to do for each shot. Having trouble with the 2h bh still(I’m right handed). Shot felt great but I don’t think my foot was pointed into the court enough. Got significant knee pain from rotating.

    Great work Tom. Seems so easy when explained well. Love your simplicity in coaching and explaining, which is probably the hardest thing to do!!! I am learning a lot, Thanks for work and effort.

    What a great tennis coach! This is so helpful.
    It would be great if you could address the footwork for:
    (a) running up to a short service box ball on the double backhand side;
    (b) running around the backhand to hit a forehand.
    Only if it suits you. I do understand if you don't want to give away all your secrets online.

    Great job guys - Nitzan on the body awareness to make these body adjustments in the fraction of a second when transferring weight into the shot, and Tom for seeing the appropriate footwork patterns and calling them out in real time. Mountain flashbacks illustrating the “before” were cool. Another solid video illustrating the nuances of the stroke that really make a difference.

    i'm a very short player: 1.60 cm. I found that if i hold the racquet higher on the grip i gain much much more face control, better timing and spacing on the forehand (between semi and full western) . What do you think about it? For me it was a game changer.

    Hi, I thought if a low ball that a step forward into more neutral stance would be best?
