Perfect! They take a bit of getting used to if you've never worked on them but once you got them down they will make a huge difference!

Really like this lesson Meike. I am trying to concentrate on footwork and this lesson explained the mogul step demonstration was easy to understand too. Thanks for producing this material and please do more when you can.

Excellent lesson! I'm always amazed by your videos, I watched a tennis coaching video the other day, the instructor was hitting a pool noodle with his racquet, saying it was going to make me a better tennis player! Lol 😂 haha oh it was rediculis! 😅 I thought to myself Thank God for Coach Meike Babel 🙏👍

There are for sure some weird things out there and different people respond to different coaching. As we say in German "every pot will find its lid".

At 2'30", and slightly following, you demonstrate in quick succession what coaches worldwide and on social media show what they think happens and try to force students to do; then immediately followed by what actually happens, and even then only in one specific relationship between perception of intended ball contact and position of the centre of mass and momentum on it. A subtle but not difficult to see and important difference in teaching movement in any sport. The next question is whether teaching a lateral abduction of the near leg as the basic and foundational step, makes teaching the actual range of footwork to centre of mass required in the sport more difficult. External rotation of near leg and internal rotation of distal leg, with accompanying hip shift, is the determining factor. Is Paula actually faster than other players, or does she simply appear to be working harder? Also, where did her injury occur? have you noticed the change in her movement since she's tried to return from it?

Badosa is a good example but you can’t beat Cibulkova for great footwork.
