I thought I was pretty good at After Effects but I have no idea what I saw in the video. Didn't get anything but that was purely because of your voice. I was hypnotized by your voice. Watched video 27min I mean listened. You know this is a compliment, good job!
My brain cannot contain that amount of knowledge you just bring to us as a beginner. I have to try harder to catch you. Thanks alot professor you did amazing job 👍
Wow. The 3D is amazing but what really amazed me is how well you delivered the information. It’s rare i feel entertained while watching tutorial videos but somehow you managed to be both charismatic and clear. Great channel. Very excited to see more from you man! 👍
i cracked so hard at @4:45, like i also didn't thought of just copy the other sail of the same perspective and would likely undergo the same method you did. anyways, this channel is gold bro, i love your tutorials, you make every tutorial so easy while complex at the same time but you know your stuff well. you'll be a big channel, i can feel it.
First !!!! Haha, greetings from Greece ! My guy, you are sooo underrated, for real. You provide so much knowledge...for free and with so much care. Hope you are doing well ! Keep making these , 'cause you make people happy!
I second that. Your channel is my best little find on RUclips over the past few months. Keep making videos like this and you'll blow up before you know it ;) (much love from Norway)
haha yeah I know I did him dirty, I figured not everyone would know his name was Geralt so to avoid confusion just made a generic name up... BUT I ended up saying Geralt at some point in the video anyways so I might as well have just named him on the card properly lol
I don't even know how to use After Effect but I am watching this video for some reason. Thankfully this is a great video, and my programming and photoshop background helped me roughly understood what was happening, maybe it's time to try and learn a little bit of AE.
Glad I rang the bell for this channel. Can't watch this right now, but will definitely check this out later! I'm not gonna be working on projects in need of 3D cards any time soon, but I'm sure there's plenty of tips and tricks within this worth picking up
@@AcademyOfEdits No problem dude. I said I couldn't watch it right now, but here I am almost having watched through it all anyways haha. You know how to make captivating tutorials!
Great video, probly the best I’ve seen on the topic, same problem here many savants tend to use tech lingo which looses most of the audience which is people who know absolutely nothing, Teach it more simple and more will understand. Great video! Thank you Sir! Respect!
Absolutely loving the quality of your content, from the title cards to the narration! Fantastic stuff. Have watched the majority of your videos since I first discovered your channel through your Ebsynth video! Keep up the incredible work man, its truly inspiring :D
@@AcademyOfEdits hell yeah, the style is so cool and I love the background beat, did you make that yourself? Also I'd love to see a video on facial tracking / making someone look like a ghost in after effects! I've got a short film project coming up soon and some tips and tricks would be greatly appreciated!
Keep up these awesome AE tutorials! I'm just now getting into Motion Graphics in my career, so these videos have been giving me some really cool ideas for art that I create. Subscribed.
@@AcademyOfEdits The pleasure was all mine. I ended up making it in Blender instead, and I'm pretty pleased with the results. ruclips.net/video/YhghLICeioQ/видео.html
Awesome, Thank you ! Very unique and inspiring tutorial. I'm passionate by 2.5D animations like the animated Gwent Cards and the Mandalorian/Boba Fett credit scenes so thanks to this tutorial and your other one on how to animate photos, I can now make my own !
Wow! Your tutorials are so well made. The editing is really good (would expect nothing less from the Academy Of Edits heheh) but so is your voice and the pacing of the tutorial, keep up the good work!
Notification gang because I absolutely love you. Will you ever do a beat syncing tutorial for example for gaming montages I can never figure out how to do it properly... Or even on the create audio keyframes function in after effects and how to use it or where and stuff... I would really like to see your take on this 😁👌
Damn. I'm going to try learn how to use this technique to create 5 separate cards so I can create an intro for my roleplay videos, choosing which character will be chosen. I don't know how you're not bigger, but you're a real Wizard! - Merlin
Man, that was a lot to take in. I think I learnt something but I'm not sure. Gonna have to watch this all over again probably like 10 times just to get half of what was covered! That's a sub and a bell from me!
Awesome work, I love the cards (in the beginning of the video) that represent the roadmap of the work you'll be doing in the video. Any chance you can do a tutorial based on that? Its probably easier comparing to the tutorials you already make, I'm a beginner so I am not really aware haha.
This video was so clutch I had to send a tip! My expression skills have been limited to applying wiggle() to everything but now that I've watched this, I feel slightly less like trash! I successfully used these tips in a practice project and learned quite a bit. Thanks, man.
Thanks! And I’m glad I could help your expression usage!! I’ve got a few other videos on expressions you should dig through and check out if you want as well :)
could you please tell me how to just rotate the card? and make it loop forever I have searched everwhere but it is so advanced i am just starting and it would help out alot
Hey man, loved the quality of this video. Can you also guide me how to get the dissolve transition you are using? It's pretty sick. Also some hints about the effect at 2:51?
A year later you can just use something like Dall-e or Stable Diffusion to fill in the gaps, remove objects in the way and make more room. What a time to be alive
I love the Gwent card inspiration. Would you happen to know how to get closer to the animation they do for their premium cards? I would like to try and replicate their animations. They are SO AWESOME. Thank for the great tutorial!
Thanks so much! If you’re looking to replicate Gwent cards for real I’d imagine it’s a mix of Spine2D for most of the animating and then additional effects/compositing in After Effects, definitely check out @_vrihedd on Instagram, they do some awesome stuff with Spine2D so you can see what I mean/what it’s used for

Could you copy and paste the codes in here?
